The demon eventually retreated to his room, having really nothing else to do and needing a little while to cool down. Sighing heavily, he leaned against the threshold of the door frame and closed his eyes. Not wanting a headache to form in his already ringing head, he rubbed at his temples and tried to focus. He couldn't let his temper loose on the boy, he didn't deserve it. It was Nathaniel who was so intolerant of the entirety of the human race. He really had to work on that sort of thing, he was getting worse about it.
After a while of calming himself down, he finally came down the stairs and peeked into the living room. Seeing the boy napping there, he smiled weakly and sighed softly. Knowing the boy wasn't going to sleep well on the couch, he paused hesitantly before slipping in and picking his rather lightweight body up with much ease. The young man's face was just that type that you couldn't stay mad at. Chuckling softly, he tried to stay quiet so not to wake Julius. He looked so peaceful despite the stress between them both.
With a small smile, he slipped into the bedroom he had given Julius and set the boy down gently upon the bed. His fingers tapped the lad's forehead fondly before he yawned and exited the room, throwing an innocent glance over his shoulder before he shut the door behind him. With a small yawn, he shook his head and moved back downstairs.
Honestly the demon had no idea what he was doing. But the deal was the deal, and that was that. He took pity on the boy, really, and hoped that he could help him along. Besides, things were hard for Nathaniel as well. It was brutal on him, trying to survive when eating human food did nothing but make him sick in lost quantities. With a heavy sigh, he sat down, rubbing his forehead tiredly.
