Nathaniel - post five.

Postby Rivkah » Mon Feb 25, 2013 9:28 am

Nathaniel honestly didn't sleep much, being nocturnal and constantly energetic and all over the place. He was lucky if his body let him sleep once a week. However, this time he had literally forced himself to so he could get everything done for the lad Julius without being too out of whack. It was rather peaceful for a forced sleep, and he was relieved that he could actually achieve it. Things like this did not come easily to Nathan and he counted them as blessings when they finally did. He wasn't going to complain if his sleep wasn't the best, because it was sleep all the same.

He stirred early in the morning around four a.m. and got straight to work, more energetic than ever thanks to his slumber. He used incantations for most of it to get it done quicker, only going to town once. Soon the pantry and refrigerator were full, Nathan had sneaked an entire wardrobe of new clothes into Julius' dresser, and he had gotten rid of the rags he had worn when Nathan met him. By seven in the morning he was able to shower himself and don on clean clothing. Retiring back to his room, he sat down and waited for the sound of Julius waking. When it came, he waited to be called, as he seemed to be changing or going to the bathroom. He wasn't going to jump in.

Perking up a bit as he heard mumbling downstairs, though it was more than audible to his finely-tuned ears. Instead of replying he merely got to his feet, listening to everything the lad had to say, even the obscenities. Wings twitching lightly, he realized Julius had mentioned feeding. He smirked softly. Typical human to say that sort of thing, even though it was partially true. He did get his energy from the emotion, except it wasn't taken, but given to him. He couldn't retrieve it without Julius being open and showing it to him willingly. It was why he had asked for the strongest one, so to avoid being cheated out what he was due in the bargain they had made. He licked his teeth at the thought.

Getting to work, he fetched two tablets from a bottle of painkillers in the bathroom, before going downstairs to the kitchen and filling a glass with water. He snatched a pear from the fruit basket tilted his head at how the boy was sitting at the dining table. He set down the cup, the fruit, and the medicine on a napkin and murmured softly, "Here you go. Don't eat too fast now, and drink all the water, the medication has a tiny kick to it." His amber eyes swept over the lad's face and he realized he did look tired and in pain.

Clearing his throat, he sat down next to the lad, watching him curiously as he shoulders relaxed a bit. He was actually curious to how this boy would give him the emotion he had promised, considering that Nathaniel was not a very romantic thing and this boy didn't seem too courageous to show affection to an absolute stranger. Tapping his jaw thoughtfully, he gazed out the window and bit his lip, deep in thought. He didn't know, honestly, what he'd be doing today. Probably catering to the needs of this boy, since that was their agreement.

Rubbing his eyes of sleep he bit back a yawn and rolled his head a bit to loosen up those tense muscles in his neck. His lips curled into a smile and his eyes closed for the briefest of moments before opening again. His hair felt weird, sticking up in every direction, and all over the place like a wildfire in a forest. In this case, the fire had turned his hair brighter than the sun. It was so red it was almost blinding at times.

Julius listened as the others footsteps rang loudly in his ear, for he came to fulfill something he needed, and he thanked him silently for coming as quick as he had. He watched with relief seeing the other brought the medicine, as he begun filling a cup with water, but scowled at the fruit. "A pear?" He mumbled to himself, though, he was in no position to complain. Mumbling a few more complaints to himself, he snatched up the fruit, and took a rather large bite out of it. With his spare down, he wiped the trail of juice from off of his chin, and snickered childishly from behind his hand. "Thanks." He said, picking up the pills, popping them in his mouth, and swallowing them down with a gulp of water.

He groaned softly, not appreciating the news that came with the pills, but he knew it was better than nothing. His eyes darted over to the male, figuring he was going to so something, if anything at all. He waited, waited, and waited. It never came. He frowned thoughtfully, wondering what it was all about, and washed the troubling thought away. He watched the demon curiously, he had a different perspective of them, than what they actually turned out to be. Julius figured that Nathan should be green or even red, maybe a unicorn horn, one eyeball, he already has the nasty wings covered, but what about the tail? Without a second thought, he found his eyes drifting lower, and stopped himself before he could reach the final destination.

He gave himself a quick scolding, watching the others actions carefully, and took the last bite of the fruit. Swallowing, he stood slowly, carefully, as he made his way over to the other. He ran his fingers through the wild hair, smiling at the softness of it, and patted the top of the demons head. "We are going to play the 'Get to Know You' game. Okay?" He told the other, retreating into the room with the television, and waving his fingers to signal the other to follow. "Since I am not entirely comfortable with this situation, and I have a feeling that you aren't either..." He paused, settling himself down on the couch. "I will ask questions, you feel free to ask some of your own to, but nothing too personal. Not yet at least."

He looked back to the other, making sure that he was listening before continuing. "You will sit on the floor between my legs so I have access to your hair and ears. That's as much affection I can show you at the moment. You hair is soft and I like it." He drawled on, murmuring the last bit. "Questions, comments, concerns?" He grinned. "No, alright! We will watch television, and get to know one another. So come!" He demanded, eyes now golden with curiosity.

Nathaniel - post six.

Postby Rivkah » Wed Feb 27, 2013 12:21 am

The demon was quiet and absentminded until he felt fingers in his hair. Copper eyebrows raising, he realized this was probably an attempt to be affectionate. Or so he sensed in the boy's emotions. He was caught off-guard even more as the boy instructed him on what they would be doing. Normally Nathaniel would make it clear nobody would ever give him orders and especially not little Julius, but they had made a deal and Nathan never went back on his promises. So, he sighed softly, listening quite carefully.

A get to know you game? As if this couldn't get any more ridiculous. However, he sighed in resignation and got to his feet when beckoned over. It was a little degrading but he would have to live with it. He entered the sitting room, but when told he would be sitting on the floor, his eyebrows raised and he snorted softly, saying nothing. Yet he was able to relax when given the reasoning behind it. "Fair enough," he sighed softly in a mumble. He didn't really approve of this childish game but if it ws how he got what was promised to him, then fine.

Setting the television remote in the lad's lap, he sat down on the against the couch and Julius' legs. His wings twitched slightly but he did his best to tuck them in since the boy didn't like them all that much. Licking his teeth, he yawned and tried to relax himself. The boy's words struck him oddly, that he liked his fiery hair. In that Scottish lilt of it, he crooned, "Whatever you say, kid." Amber eyes going from him to the television screen.

His fingers rose, tapping the boy's knee. "Hey, kid," he murmured. "I have a question. What exactly do you like to do? Besides television and... petting my hair." He smirked softly, sighing and relaxing entirely against the edge of the sofa.

The young male looked down to the creature between his legs, looking thoughtful, but said not a word. As a slight weight was added onto his thigh, he picked up the remote, turned on the television, and chose a station at random. It had been a while since he'd been in such luxury, it was almost foreign. With a heavy sigh, his hands entangled in the wild mane that appeared to be rough, but was soft to the touch. It was a contradiction of the sorts. He shuddered at the twitching of the others wings, closing his eyes, and inhaling deeply. He was clueless as to why they had such a nasty affect on him, then again, he was also clueless to how the creature before him existed.

He blinked rapidly, tuning out from his thoughts, and glanced at his knee. Eyebrows raised questionably, he frowned deeply, agitated by this nickname. He said nothing, biting down on his lip, waiting for the others question. He was sure that he, himself, was supposed to ask the first question, and chose to let it go. His fingers stopped moving through the others hair, his eyes shut, and he thought on it for a moment. "You know, fight for my life, looking for uncomfortable places to sleep at night, and sometimes watching people die. Just normal things." Fingers moving towards the others ears, tracing them lightly, before tugging gently on the lobe. "I don't know."

He murmured with a soft sigh, shrugging his shoulders. It's been a while since he'd done anything relatively close to normal. When he wasn't fighting for his life, he had been sleeping. When he wasn't looking for a place to sleep, he was stealing food, and begging for spare change. It was pretty much hell. He was surprised he hadn't lost his mind, gone insane, or snapped. It was luck that he found Nathaniel, if he hadn't, he was sure to perish away quite quickly. "Maybe I like to talk, I like to read a little I think." He quickly became frustrated, the throbbing of his skull returning. "What about you? What do you do besides eat peoples emotions?" He laughed softly, after realizing how ridiculous that sounded.

Nathaniel - post seven.

Postby Rivkah » Mon Apr 01, 2013 12:09 am

The male became quite comfortable with using the boy's thigh as a pillow and listening to him speak as his hair was played with. It was a small affection, but it was enough for now. Yawning softly, he thoughtfully looked up at the boy when he started to describe what he would do out on the streets, before going on to what he would have done beforehand or now. "Hmm," he said softly. "Tough life. I was on the streets as a kid. Demon parents don't stick around much once their kids know how to hunt." Smiling weakly, he shrugged and crossed his legs.

When asked a question, he smiled weakly. "Hmph. Well when it comes to things like that, I like irritating people; not just for food but in general. But, with normal things... I'm not much of a book reader, but I'll occasionally pick up a novel. I'm more into outdoor things, though." Relaxing, he rubbed the boy's knee gently and closed his eyes. "I don't do much, really, just hand out, make a nuisance of myself." Feeling fingers still in his hair before going again to his ears, he smiled.

Finally, he could feel a bit of a cramp in his back from this awkward position and mumbled, "Mind if I lay across your lap instead or something like that? My back's knotting up." Not waiting for an answer, he slipped to his feet without a sound and positioned himself with his head in the boy's lap so that he could still reach his hair. He found nothing awkward about this, in fact it was much more comfortable than being on the floor, and gave his back a break from all jazz. With a gentle sigh, he kept his eyes closed as he murmured, "Small talk aside... what should I call you? Besides kid and Julius. Surely you have a nickname." He smiled gently, eyes staying shut.

Julius could only wonder how the demon before him could even smile. He hadn't even thought about how crushed he would've been if they had left him, which they had, but not purposely. He slowly felt himself relaxing, hands going about on their own, and eyes gluing onto the moving pictures. It had been on a cartoon he couldn't name, but he remembered watching it a while back. Hearing the others voice, he glanced at the wild mane of hair, and smiled softly. It made him wonder if he had been a nuisance to Noah, since he'd just latched himself onto the other boy, but he never seemed to truly mind. Though the unexpected contact on his knee drew him away from his thoughts.

Hearing the second question, he was about to protest, but stopped when the head appeared on his lap. His smile widened a fraction, appeared to be a little more awkward, and a rosy pink blush painted his cheeks. His mouth opened and closed several times, making little sounds, but never a full word. Looking away with a sigh, he tugged lightly on the others hair, and pouted childishly. "Well sure why not, just make yourself comfortable." He commented sarcastically with a roll of his eyes.

He twirled a lock of hair around his finger, while he busied the other hand with playing with the lonesome ear. It was a strange question that really hit Julius, because hardly no one besides Noah ever called him different. Hell, they hardly remembered his name. He shrugged his shoulders, tilting his head from side to side, and chuckled softly. "Don't laugh." He mumbled grumpily. "Noah would call me Woody, some of the weird ones called me Heather, and a handful has called me Jules. Most know me by Julius, obviously." Realizing he had begun rambling, he quieted himself, and looked down at the demon. "So, which one you going to call me? Or can you come up with something from Julius Heather Norwood?" He asked with a subtle grin.

Nathaniel - post eight.

Postby Rivkah » Mon Apr 01, 2013 3:47 pm

Nathaniel did indeed make himself comfortable. Very comfortable. Ignoring the sarcasm, he rubbed the boy's jaw as he reached up fondly. Closing his eyes, he allowed Julius to continue playing with his hair. He had caught the blush before his eyes slipped shut and it frankly pleased him. He wanted to do a bit more, maybe snuggle up to the boy and get him to loosen up, but he decided against it. He liked laying in his lap for now. It was plenty good enough for him. He liked the idea of this boy affectionately toying with his hair as they talked. It was aa bit innocent, but better than nothing. He was lucky the boy was already allowing him to feed when Julius's official first day was just starting. Licking his lips, he opened his eyes.

Frankly, the idea of all these names interested him. He listened carefully, trying to pick up the best one. "I like Jules," he said softly. "But you can also pull Lio from Julius. I dunno." He turned his head and kissed the boy's hand. "I rather like the pet name Ever. Don't ask me how you made me think of that." Now ignoring the television, he sat up only slightly to kiss Julius's chin. "But it suits you." His lips then moved to meet the lad's though it was quite brief. He then laid back down, gazing up at the mortal with a hingry fascination. He thoughtfully went back to coming up with new names that would be imaginative.

"Or Rabbit. I really like thwt one. You seem a lot like a rabbit. Sweet, twitchy, skittish... yeah. Rabbit suits you." Tiliting his head, he sat up one more time to adjust his position; he gave the boy a quick cuddle before lying back on his lap and teasingly tickling his stomach. "Anyway. Ask whatever you would like. Nothing will really offend me." Smiling mischievously, he kept his gaze locked on the boy's lovely face. He reached up, strokung it, and purred, "We can do this as long as you would like as long as you let me steal a few kisses out of the deal." Giving the lad a little wink, he snuggled closer, burying his face in Julius's midsection.

Julius did his best not to tense up at the hand that gently brushed against his jaw, but he could not stop the soft shudder that coursed down his spine. His eyes had widened a slight amount, unsure as to where the sudden contact came from, and dismissed it completely before he got awkward. He pulled on the lock of red hair in warning, as he looked down into the eyes of the demon, but said nothing as he looked back to the television. The sound of the older males voice filled his ear, which was a nice change, since Noah hardly participated in conversing with him. He scowled, Jules was his least favorite, because it was somehow worse than Heather. It stole his masculinity away, which was something that stabbed at his ego.

As Nathaniel continued on, he listened, brow furrowing at the ridiculous names spilling from his lips. 'Lio?' He thought to himself questionably, freezing at the kiss to his hand. He quickly shook his head, no longer paying attention to Nathan, as the voices in his head were screaming at him to get away. ' Accident? Yes, that's what it was. An accident.' Nodding to confirm that thought, he completely missed the second name created from the demon. He was so out of it, that he lost his opportunity to dodge the unexpected action. Not that was not an accident. Suddenly feeling flustered as the coloring in his cheeks darkened a few notches, he quickly became a statue at the feeling of lips being pressed against his.

It was a quick peck on the lips that shouldn't have the voices in his head in overdrive. But it did. Julius stared dumbfoundedly down at the creature in his lap, not fully registering what just happened. It took him a moment, a few long moments, but he did come to his senses. "What the actual h*ll was that?!" Not bothering to listen to whatever came out next from the other. "Why did yo-" He was cut off by his own gasp, feeling his eyes flutter shut, and he suppressed a soft moan. His hand had instinctively cradled the freshly bandaged wound gently. His eyes were nearly bulging from out of his skull, face flushed, breath quickening a few paces. You could clearly see the anger he was expressing n his face in full force.

He flinched away from the hand that returned to his face, feeling another shudder course down his spine at the purr from the other."No we can not actually," He stated between grit teeth. "Because I'm going to kill you now." He said in a matter-of-factly voice. "So how do I do that? Since you already stole a kiss from me!" The venom dripping in his tone, pushing the others face from out of his stomach.

Nathaniel - post nine.

Postby Rivkah » Mon Apr 08, 2013 12:21 pm

The demon was a bit caught off-guard by the boy's rather violent reaction, but he surprisingly did not snap back. He caught the boy's hand as he was shoved away and simply held his wrist there, eyes flickering dangerously. "Forgive me if I was too forward for you," he stated coldly, his venom far outmatching the mortal's. He dropped the other male's hand abruptly from his grasp and sat up. "I do not understand why you mortals are so uptight about this sort of thing. Honestly, if you find my flirting obnoxious, alerting me in a more polite way would suffice."

Nathaniel studied the boy coldly for a few moments before sighing heavily. "It's simply part of my personality, I'm not coming onto you or anything of the sort. It's not like I deliberately think about doing these sorts of things." He looked away, trying to hide the disgust in his face. Coldly he swung his legs off the couch, letting them touch the floor. "I'm a tease, it's something you get used to after a while. You don't like it, fine, the street'll welcome you back. Next time, tell me rather than acting like the majority of your incompetent race and assuming you know everything. I'm not an animal or a beast."

Saying nothing more, the demon got to his feet, wings rustling in an angry fashion as he slipped out of the room. He hadn't meant to get ahead of himself like that, but as he had told this mortal he didn't exactly have control of it, just like an ADHD sufferer couldn't control their attention span without medication. It was who he was and he did not appreciate being shoved off of Julius as if he was a thing.

Not bothering to look back, he thought spitefully to himself, Danggit why am I so hungry? He hugged himself, wings fluttering up a storm as he lowered his head to keep himself in check. He could go for scaring the boy, but that would violate their agreement, and Nathaniel always kept his word. He didn't seem like the type, in fact none of his race did, but that didn't mean it was true.

- Julius Heather Norwood

Postby mr. wonderboy » Mon Apr 08, 2013 1:05 pm

Julius was suddenly drained of all the energy he gathered from last nights rest, within the span of five minutes of being with the demon. He was simply surprised when his wrist was gathered in a grip that was rather strong, he even tested it as he tried to free his hand once, well twice. If possible, his frown had deepened, as he glared into the eyes of the other. The contact did not last long as the expression in the others eyes injected slight fear into his veins. Instead, he settled on glaring at the hand grasping his wrist. The shudders that seemed to be continuously wracking his body came again, though this was was quite different. The tone in the others voice put his to shame, and it was very unsettling. The feeling stirring in his gut seemed to agree with him.

He looked taken aback, if the demon counted that as flirting, then his definition was far different from his own. He knew he could handle flirting, to some sort of degree at least. He didn't mind the light touch to his jaw too much, he was somewhat okay with it. As long as it was innocent and refrained from being close to mildly intimate, he could take it on head first. He could clearly remember the lewd comments thrown at him from his friend Noah, and he handled it surprisingly well. Kissing, that was different. That was something special. Kissing was far too intimate to be done with a pure stranger. He felt himself calm down, staring at his hand that fell heavily onto his lap. If anything, Julius wanted to go away, and forget that this ever happened, but he knew it wouldn't go his way.

That stare from the other was heavy, it was so inexplicable, but it made it impossible for Julius to look him in the eyes. He said nothing, letting the other speak, or rather explain why he had done what he'd done. He was fumbling with his fingers, flinching at the street comment, which stung more than it should. He was almost about to lash out, feeling his anger well up inside of him, but it left as quickly as it had come. Julius hadn't meant to act as he had, but he did, and there was no taking it back. He was almost going to allow himself to wallow in self-pity and guilt. Almost. He did feel extremely worse and ten times more drained and dead than he had moments ago. He just assumed it was was the medicine, as it did always make him exaggeratedly tired.

Even as he caught sight of the angry rustle of the others wings, he held back the nauseousness, feeling ashamed. The other took him in, but Julius was still learning. He simply wasn't used to anything, or anyone doing things like that. He'd never met a person like Nathaniel, and he would just have to slowly accept. He was as sure as Nathaniel was that the streets would gladly take him back, and punish him for leaving them without telling. For running. He rubbed angrily at his eyes, refusing to cry as he laid out on the couch. He had much to think about, the newly found stress nagging him, and he closed his eyes falling deeper into a restless nap.
