Nathaniel honestly didn't sleep much, being nocturnal and constantly energetic and all over the place. He was lucky if his body let him sleep once a week. However, this time he had literally forced himself to so he could get everything done for the lad Julius without being too out of whack. It was rather peaceful for a forced sleep, and he was relieved that he could actually achieve it. Things like this did not come easily to Nathan and he counted them as blessings when they finally did. He wasn't going to complain if his sleep wasn't the best, because it was sleep all the same.
He stirred early in the morning around four a.m. and got straight to work, more energetic than ever thanks to his slumber. He used incantations for most of it to get it done quicker, only going to town once. Soon the pantry and refrigerator were full, Nathan had sneaked an entire wardrobe of new clothes into Julius' dresser, and he had gotten rid of the rags he had worn when Nathan met him. By seven in the morning he was able to shower himself and don on clean clothing. Retiring back to his room, he sat down and waited for the sound of Julius waking. When it came, he waited to be called, as he seemed to be changing or going to the bathroom. He wasn't going to jump in.
Perking up a bit as he heard mumbling downstairs, though it was more than audible to his finely-tuned ears. Instead of replying he merely got to his feet, listening to everything the lad had to say, even the obscenities. Wings twitching lightly, he realized Julius had mentioned feeding. He smirked softly. Typical human to say that sort of thing, even though it was partially true. He did get his energy from the emotion, except it wasn't taken, but given to him. He couldn't retrieve it without Julius being open and showing it to him willingly. It was why he had asked for the strongest one, so to avoid being cheated out what he was due in the bargain they had made. He licked his teeth at the thought.
Getting to work, he fetched two tablets from a bottle of painkillers in the bathroom, before going downstairs to the kitchen and filling a glass with water. He snatched a pear from the fruit basket tilted his head at how the boy was sitting at the dining table. He set down the cup, the fruit, and the medicine on a napkin and murmured softly, "Here you go. Don't eat too fast now, and drink all the water, the medication has a tiny kick to it." His amber eyes swept over the lad's face and he realized he did look tired and in pain.
Clearing his throat, he sat down next to the lad, watching him curiously as he shoulders relaxed a bit. He was actually curious to how this boy would give him the emotion he had promised, considering that Nathaniel was not a very romantic thing and this boy didn't seem too courageous to show affection to an absolute stranger. Tapping his jaw thoughtfully, he gazed out the window and bit his lip, deep in thought. He didn't know, honestly, what he'd be doing today. Probably catering to the needs of this boy, since that was their agreement.
Rubbing his eyes of sleep he bit back a yawn and rolled his head a bit to loosen up those tense muscles in his neck. His lips curled into a smile and his eyes closed for the briefest of moments before opening again. His hair felt weird, sticking up in every direction, and all over the place like a wildfire in a forest. In this case, the fire had turned his hair brighter than the sun. It was so red it was almost blinding at times.
