Lost at Sea ;3

~Kate~
I look around cautiously at everything I hear. I've grown accustomed to the way this island is, but this seems different. Really different. I get the sinking feeling that we're about to be attacked, I feel like I'm being watched. I hear a deep breathing sound right behind me, and I quickly spin on the spot to see what happened. Nothing was there. I take in a breath quickly, I'm just imagining things. Everything seems fine for a moment, but then I'm suddenly jerked backwards by something.

[Trynaety]

So sorry its been forever! I've been writing paper essays and went camping! --- And devised a plan to confess! Go awkwardness..... >->)))

Shawn looked back quickly, now pannicking. He coulndt see anything behind the buishes, and hearing the crackling of the footsteps made him even more rightened. He looked at Kate and took a deep breath before slowing down enough to be close to everyone.

(Sorry, I dont really know what your intending by 'jerked back by something' o-o I dont want to make a move and go polar oppisite on what you intended!)

((EXTREMELY sorry for how long it took me to reply. Summer has not been very kind to me. I've tried to reply a few times but always ended up with writer's block. I KNOW where I'm going with it, but I have no idea how to write it out. -.-))

~Kate~
I'm pulled backwards and into the bushes, I can feel a claw-like hand on my shoulder, which must be what's pulling me. What it is, I don't know. I'm kicking and yelling as it pulls me, trying to free myself from its grasp. It seems to be trying to pull me deeper into the forest, and my efforts are failing. I can't get away from it on my own.

[Trynaety]

Almost as if he was pushed, Shawn leapt into the forest after Destiny, throwing back branches as he went, crushing shrubberies that dare cross him. When he caught glimpse of her, he kicked into hyper drive and pounced towards her, grabbing her arm and tightly pulling her back before releasing her arm and raising his hand to the beast that caught hold of Destiny. In the midst of adrenalin, he couldnt get a good look at the creature, but only knew that it was dangerous. There was a terrible howl and a whimper before the beast scampered away. Shawn fell to his knees huffing and staring at his trembling hands. "Are you ok?" He asked slowly, looking at her with a frightened expression. "Are you hurt?"


Eli's whimper made her brother wince slightly. He stopped her from going after Shawn, for his own selfish reasons and soon regretted that, however, he didn't want to split up again. Now there was nothing he could do to go after them, only God knows what part of the forest they are in, and how far they are from each other. The only thing he knew was that they weren't with them anymore, and that those things were out there still...
(I am so SO SO SO SO sorry I havent written on here! I had a german exchange child come over and stay at my house, then school...)

((So it was initially Kate that was pulled away but I like what you did better so I'm just going to pretend it was Destiny. Also, having an exchange student live with you sounds awesome!))

~Destiny~
I don't remember much as I'm pulled backwards, everything is very blurry. I only heard vague shuffling noises and saw the trees and bushes whip past me. This thing was taking me somewhere, I'm pretty sure. Suddenly something grabbed me, and pulled me away from the creature. For some reason it didn't try to resist that, it just backed off. When everything comes back to focus, I'm on the ground and looking at Shawn. He seems incredibly worried, and he's asking me something. I just shake my head. "No, no... I'm fine." I try to get my bearings back, I'm still really dizzy. Looking down I notice I'm maybe not as fine as I thought I was, I have several little cuts and scratches all over me, from the trees and bushes.

~Kate~
I initially race after Shawn to try to help Destiny, but I loose him (and the beast) quickly. Once I can no longer see them, I decide it would be better for me to stay with Eli and Joe than try to follow. I don't even really remember which way they headed. I run back to Eli and Joe, looking at both of them. "No one else was hurt, right?"

[Trynaety]

Oh Ahaha Im so sorry! I must have read it wrong! Forgive me? Ahahaha)


Shawn looked around them, placing his hands on her shoulder more firmly and then pulled her into a hug. "Good." He huffed, panting slightly as he looked around the darkened forest. "C'mon, lets go try and find everyone else... I don't want to get too separated..." He whispered gently, looking around once more before grabbing a large stick. "Here, beat anything that grabs you." He offered a smile before looking through the trees for the best possible trail.


Joe shook his head silently as he sighed irritated. "well, with no means of weapons besides rocks, mere strength and sticks, I'd say lets get out of the forest and head for a land formation that we can see past the naked eye, eh?" He suggested, looking at Eli who looped her finger in Joe's clenched hand.
