I looked up at my daughter, "It was. I think that's what started this journey." I smiled, "Let's get you to bed."

Melody nodded and kissed her mom on the cheek "Goodnight," she said softly and slipped into her room to change.

I smiled and walked to my room. I sat next to Carter, "I'm sorry." I looked at him, "But please, please stop smoking."

"I-it's not that easy.." Carter shook his head, still looking at his lap.

"I'll help you. Whenever you feel the need to smoke come to me." I laid down and faced him, "And I'll get your mind off of it. You never know, we might get a child out of it."

Carter looked at her but didn't smile "A-anytime?" He asked softly. "Wh-what if you're busy?" He asked and laid down and faced her.

I kissed him, "Well there's always p*rn. I know it's not as good as the real thing, but it's something." I smirked. "Or you could just workout or something. I don't care what you do, but I'm not letting you die."

Carter kissed her back and smiled "You know how to win me over, don't you?" He whispered and kissed her lightly.

I smiled, "Five years teaches you a lot." I kissed him back swiftly, "But I'm still mad at you for starting in the first place." I smirked and watched him.
