I hugged her close, "It's ok. You're ok. That's all that matters." I pulled back and smiled.

Melody hugged her back and smiled at them "He escaped though, she is going to jail though..." She said softly.

"Security system, and guns.." Carter growled with a nod and turned, walking into the house.

"We will find him. I'm a private detective remember?" I smiled.

Melody smiled "Sometimes I forget... He said he broke out of jail JUST to kill me.." She shrugged "He wasted his time..." She added softly

"Yes he did, but I promise you right when he stops running; I'll find him." I smirked and walked inside to the crime scene looking for evidence. I called up my client and told them that I needed a couple weeks off for a personal case. The I went around taking fingerprints.

"Hey Mel, want to sleepover at my house? Get your mind off about what happened." I asked her.

Melody nodded to her mom and turned to Mary "I guess it depends on if my parents will let me.." She said and smiled

I took fingerprints around the house, and found a small hair belonging to the criminal. "Ha!" I jumped.

"Hey mom?" Melody called and walked to her mom

"Yes sweetie," I asked from my desk. I was trying to figure out who the hair belonged to.

"Mary wanted to know if I could go to her house, get my mind off what happened.." Melody asked from where she stood.
