I was a fool to think coal could love anything more then fighting" she sighed looking at her bandaged wing" iam not going anywhere for a while and this wings so tightly bandaged I can help without moveing it". She looked at them"i would like to help,even if its just a little bit."

The Aqua grunt shrugged, glancing to Kaiba. The Lucario would have to give the patient permission to do anything except rest. Still, he moved forward, gathering the dead chicks in his arms and moving them to the back room, shooting out a telepathic message to the Lucario. I don't know what to do with these guys...
But Spear wouldn't be able to function properly if her dead chicks were lying in front of her. Not that she'd be able to function properly at all...
Damn it, why was life so hard for everyone? Arceus, please. Let us get through these hard times and come out better for it... Please...

"No...It's fine for now. I mean, the help's appreciated.."
The Lucario sighed, going to turn on one of the sinks. They needed to wash the dead chicks before they prepared them for a burial at sea, after all.
The Lucario gritted his teeth, trying to hide his anger, but being a Pokemon that was very in tune with it's emotions made hiding it hard.
Was Coal stupid?! Was coal thick?! Why would you even ATTEMPT to hurt someone when there were eggs nearby!
The room started to heat up a little bit as the Lucario's aura seemed to explode from him. He was not a very happy jackal.

He gave a shaky sigh. We need to wash them. Clean them. Prepare them for burial...I'm going to kill that stupid Braviary...

The Aqua grunt had sensed the rise in temperature, reaching him even in the back rooms. Kaiba... The warning given, he returned to business mode. I'll bring them back out to you. But I suggest we keep them away from Spear, at least for now. Still, she might want to see her children before they were buried...
Okay. Okay... Don't kill Coal. We need the strength, at least until the Team's settled. If Magma attacks us now... Arceus damn it, he hadn't thought of that!
Still, the bases' security was good. Everyone was trained to fight, regardless of profession. Well. He had been; other electricians had been. He had no idea if Richard or others had been; he'd always just assumed.
Okay. Clean the infirmary. Focus on that. Deal with everything else later. He could do that.

Spear smiled a little at Kaiba mental message"if i was able to kill i would offer my help"she replyed, though she tryed to hide it, She had loved Coal so much, he had been such a sweet little ruffet, why had he changed when he had evolved, she didnt know. She looked down sadly, she remebed watching him evolve first,-As Cosmo spent more time leveling him then he did her-, she was so scared when cosmo had put him agenst that jolton,so soon after his evolution, so scared he would get badly hurt. She shived, she had never though he would... She shived blocking the thought. She should of relised it then, she should of relised how brutal he was, but... She lifted her head to look at Kaiba before looking away, she was blinded by her love. Not anymore though, she remebered when thise three eggs where first lay, Coals first reaction was to say 'new blood, new fighers, Magma will forever reget this day. Thanks to my blood they will be the best fighter around'. Did he even think of her, no, he though only about the fights there kids would have, the magma blood they would spill. Maybe she should of relised it then, She sighed, lowering her beak. This was all her falt, if she had relised it sooner then maybe she could of stoped him, made him return to his ruffet self. His kind self, his loyal self. She looked at her remaining egg, part of her still loved the bravary, she couldnt stop that, oh how she tryed to, but she just couldnt. She narrowed her eyes, she may love the brutal bird but she would not let him corupt her last egg, she would raise it by heself, even if she had to run away from here, she wanted her child to be kind, and gental as well as a strong fighter, but she didnt want it to become another Coal. But what would she name it, when it hatched, she should really think of name idears, Maybe she could name it Fear if it was a girl, after her own mother.

(Man now i want to go and catch myself a fearow to name Spear XD, iam really starting to like her.)

(Hey, I'm not certain about this, but wasn't Kaiba speaking directly to the grunt? As in Spear shouldn't have heard anything? Doesn't really matter, but I don't think that message was a public one)

The Aqua grunt carefully carried the hatchlings to Kaiba, trying to shield them from Spear as much as possible, to be cleaned at the sink Kaiba had prepared. This was going to be hard, either now or later. This was why he avoided assignments out of the base. He hated death, hated that it was everywhere around them. It always made him feel like maybe...
No. Definitely not. Not when the base might be about to get better. That was something to stick around for, wasn't it? "I wonder if people are already fighting over Cosmo's job?"

In fact, grunts were already fighting over the right to rule the Aqua base. Just outside of the entrance, two females were locked in a Pokémon battle, other members surrounding them to watch the fight. Both women had been under Cosmo, but high up in Aqua's ranks. Neither were going to lose easily.

[Whistle.Concert]

"Probably." Kaiba responded, placing one of the dead hatchlings in the sink and carefully starting to wash it. The Lucario tried to be gentle, as if the hatchling was still alive, so as to not upset the mother of the baby.
Paws gently rubbed over little wings as he washed away the blood and the slime, gently picking away little bits of broken eggshell that were still on the little creature's body. "I imagine many of the admins are hoping to become the next leader.."
His ears twitched a bit. "Maybe Mariah might try her hand at being leader. She's certainly ambitious enough."
Well, she had been ambitious enough before Jon's death. Now..The Lucario wasn't so sure.

"I might talk to her about it. It would give her something to look forward to." He paused. "But focusing on more work? I'm not sure if she'll ever properly grieve for him." Still, he hadn't seen her out of her room since the funeral. Maybe this would be a good thing for her. It would certainly be good for the Team. She would be an excellent leader.
"I wonder who... As long as it's someone who treats the Team better than Cosmo did, we'll be okay, right?"
He'd been watching Kaiba cleaning the chick, and began copying his movements, gently tending to the other young bird, supressing his sadness for now. It was something he would deal with later, if at all.

[Whistle.Concert]

"I don't know anyone in the base that was worse than him..." Kaiba admitted. "Then again, some shady characters may start worming out of the woodwork now that he is gone."
The Lucario returned to busying himself, washing the little dead chick all over. What a senseless waste of life...
And to think, eggs and young ones were supposed to symbolize fertility, and a growing team. Not this.
This had just been a senseless killing.

The Aqua electrician caught Kaiba's sad glance at the chicks, but didn't comment on it, wondering what the Lucario was thinking. "Mmm. That's what I'm worried about."
Tyrannical Cosmo was dead, and the base was free for now, but what were they going to do if the new leader was just as bad; worse? Maybe he couldn't yet drop the idea of leaving the base to make a life somewhere else.
