Aqua heart watched from her tank witch had a screen built into the back. The great big whale closed her eyes and started to sing herself,her deep morning notes ringing through the base as she did so.

The Aqua grunt heard Kaiba mumbling behind him, and raised his head a little. The Lucario would be having a hard time coping with this. You... you should go. It's hard on you, isn't it?
He raised himself, just high enough to watch the flames, aware that the grunts around him could still see him shaking.

(Some detail is alright- just not explicit, that's all)

"It's hard, but I've been to many of these..." The Lucario responded, though his voice seemed to shake somewhat. He clearly no longer wanted to be there, but he would stay. He somewhat had to stay, at least until the barge was fully under the waves.
Then he would leave, and go back to busying himself.

"Huh? What's all that singing about?"
Sneezy lifted her head, hearing Aqua heart's song from the dungeon, but not really caring much about it. After all, the aqua Pokemon did not care about her, so why should she give a raticate's tail about them?
The cat weasel closed one eye, placing her head on the floor again. "Ack..I need to get out of here before I go crazy..."

Sneezy just looked at her. "Well, sorry for not knowing about what goes on in this base, you know? I don't get cable or anything, and most of the guards either throw things at me or ignore me.."
The Sneasel rolled over onto her stomach, wincing at the sharp pain in her hip. She hissed 'stupid human bullets' under her breath.

So true... There had been so many funerals lately. So many! The border skirmishes were getting so much worse. Cosmo kept telling the patrols to expand the borders, and they did. But Magma was on the defensive. They knew Aqua didn't need any more territory; they had every right to fight for their land. But why did it have to end in so many deaths? So many dead, from both sides...
He'd been on the field before, to do repairs. There were so many bodies... both Teams, Rogues... everyone was dying, and he couldn't do anything about it. At least... I stopped them from ravaging the bodies. There were corpses of young women out there. And the men he worked with...
He coughed as he choked on his tears, trying to put it out of his mind. Today was about Jon. Just Jon...

Sneezy just snorted. "You know, nothing is stopping me from unleashing my inner cat and just yowling and screaming." She mewed, sitting up slowly and painfully. She wasn't going anywhere with her hip like this...
"And telling me to be quiet is honestly just tempting me to do it more."

Kaiba shook his head, watching as the barge finally went underneath the waves. The Pokemon saluted, before starting to head back to the base.
He wondered if he'd get yelled at for 'wasting time'.
It was likely, considering the bosses foul moods.

The Rogue paused in his approach to the Aqua group, hearing the Lapras singing, and the cries of the collective group. They cared so much for their teammembers...
This was his only chance to approach, but... it was a funeral. Should he even approach? This was a public ceremony, but... it was somewhat private.
Still, he continued in his slow approach. He would be quiet; he would be respectful. But he would use it for his advantage.

He let out a shaky sigh as the barge sunk. "Jon..."
He couldn't do it anymore. He winced and turned away, eyes closed as he cried. He should be checking on Mariah. But he couldn't. Not right now. Instead, he released his emotions in a long scream.

[Whistle.Concert]

"I should be getting back..."

Mariah just felt her brother's grip tighten around her, a clear sign that she wasn't going anywhere right now. She looked so pathetic, needing to be hugged like a child who had just had a bad dream...
Maybe she would be lucky, and this would just be a bad dream..She'd wake up next to him and he'd stroke her hair and call her beautiful and...
She started crying again, burying her face in her brother's chest.
