"Huh?" The electrician jumped as the Ninetales nudged him. He hadn't notice it come closer. "Oh... hey there, Ninetales." He thought maybe it was giving Roy permission to pet it- he'd held his hand out to it earlier- so he crouched so the boy could get closer.
"You don't know that," he murmured to the Trainer. "A little faith?"
The Aqua grunt paused, trying to listen for pawsteps or something of the sort. He knew the Houndoom was stronger after it'd howled, and he didn't want to get himself killed, but what could he do other than chase it down? If he was seen as 'helping' the intruders, he'd be branded as traitor and exiled, or killed. Even his friends would push him away. Even Mariah...
He slowly crept down a corridor, gun at the ready.
Aqua's thug-like tactics? "I know..."
That was how he'd met the Rogues. He'd already been worse for wear, but the Trainer's Aqua-instincts had kicked in pretty quick, and the guy had beaten him half to death before he even stopped to think. They'd moved on, but he'd followed them, hoping to steal some of their supplies.
It'd been his cocky nature that allowed him to stay. He'd stolen what he needed, but he wanted to get back at the Trainer for the abuse, so he'd stolen a few of his Pokemon, hiding their balls a little away, and keeping one. When he let the Pokemon out, and the men realised it was him, they'd realised how good a pickpocket he really was. And even an Aqua was smart enough to know he could be useful.
He glanced up as Leon continued. So it'd gotten worse... the Trainer had told them stories about what he called Aqua's 'glory days,' when it wasn't so bad. But it sounded like the Team had declined further and further since he'd run from them. "I..." I'm sorry. He sighed. "Thankyou."
