I sense some backstory there...
"Is that why you don't want to walk?" he murmured, low enough so hopefully only the Cyndaquil would hear him. Good to know the little fire mouse wasn't going to maul him just because he didn't belong to a Team. That seemed to be a standing thing with a lot of grunts- as long as the Rogues weren't against them, they were fine.
But he'd been chased away from both sides at times, simply because he wasn't one of them. It was during one of those running-for-his-life periods he'd met up with the group he now travelled with. He still wanted to know where they were...
The electrician was staying quiet, pleased the boy had gone back to sleep now. He wondered if the Trainer had some sort of plan, or if they really were just leaving the pickpocket behind. He kept trying to work himself up to asking, but the Trainer was setting a hard pace, so he remained silent.
