It's... that... don't care... recognise him... take him... base and... he's Aqua... Not pretty. Trainer's... for... pokemon... wandered... Aqua... The Trainer winced as the rest of the words were cut off by static. "The hell?" he muttered. The boy was Aqua?
Why would he be in a Magma hoodie? He'd been in Aqua before going Rogue. He knew how far against the rules that was. It was sacrilege to be in the other Team's uniform! Maybe the boy was a runaway, too... He glanced at the child, asleep in the other Rogue's arms, and almost saw himself.
"Fine." The boy wasn't Magma, but he needed medical supplies, and fast. That pickpocket had better stock himself up good.
He'd finally gotten a chance to see Jon, after the boss and his Ninetails had left the infirmary. In a huff, as usual. He sat in silent vigil over his friends' cooling body, thinking, and dwelling in his anger. The Ninetails had been horrible to them. And it wasn't just now, that always happened. She had no respect for humans, and the boss didn't seem to care much, either. He wondered so many times why it was that he stayed here.
Because what's the other alternative? Become a Rogue and starve? Try and join Magma, and risk being killed just for my uniform? Maybe that was a better choice... There'd been another grunt here once; they'd gotten along well, been friends. Only, he'd gotten sick of this place, and actually had the courage to leave. He'd taken up his Pokemon, burnt his uniforms, and walked out of the base in the only clothes he had left. That had been a year ago. Was he still alive?
His friends were leaving, or dying around him. Was there really a reason to stay?
