Richard watched him run off. "Kaiba. Lock the door. I'm not letting him back in."
His voice was shaking slightly, and the doctor took a deep breath to hide his barely-contained rage. Cosmo didn't have a child to protect. Cosmo didn't have a plan to get her out of her that didn't involve jeopardising anyone's lives.
He watched as his Lucario flinched, before going to do as he said.

Shard watched her brother leave"anyone would think he was in love with the Poochean"she growled faintly flicking her ears"we are cat like pokemon not dogs" she lifted a paw and licked it"hes going to get into a fair bit of heart brake if he falls for dog pokemon".

Kaiba looked back at her, before nodding. "...I suggest..We just..Take some deep breaths.." He mumbled, startled by the aura of anger coming from his trainer. "And...Wait or Cosmo's verdict. We have needles that can make it...Painless.."
He looked at Richard. "And we have needles that..If used correctly..."

"That's the plan." Richard said. "But don't say it out loud. You know the rule of 'murphy's law'. If it's said out loud, it'll fail."

Shard looked at them"just let my brother calm down, he probably didnt mean that, hes just angry"she mewed.

[Whistle.Concert]

Richard just shook his head. "I'm not putting a human's life on the line for the sake of a common Pokemon." He responded, aware that there were cameras in the infirmary, and that Cosmo could probably listen in on the conversations. "If Saphira misses Yena so bad, provided she actually is sentenced to death. There's still a possibility she won't be. But if she is, it won't be that hard to breed another Poochyena."
He spoke loudly, so that if Cosmo was listening in, he would think that Richard wasn't secretly planning anything.

Richard just glanced at the camera, before looking back at her. "Well, that's just a small scale problem isn't it? If I'd agreed to your brother's 'plan', what would have happened? We don't know what Cosmo's capable of. And I'm not keen to find out.."

Richard was about to respond, but was distracted by Alicia calling for him. He walked off, pushing away slightly as she clung to him. "..You're not a little girl any more, you know..."

She just whimpered, before letting go. "...Can I have Eridanus, then?" She asked. "...I think I'm gunna head back to my room..."
