Ash also watched the girl crumple with slight distaste. She wouldn't survive a day as a rogue. The woman- who Ash was still vaguely pointing her pistol at- might, though. Yes, she probably would do alright for herself. And that made Ash respect her a little.

[Whistle.Concert]

The woman put her hands on her hips. "...Am I allowed to move forward to collect the girl? Or should I walk away and leave her there to wallow in self-pity."
The woman, it seemed, was pretty good at being snarky when she felt like it, and it seemed it might diffuse the situation a little bit of she did so, as the girl with the gun had been a bit sassy as well. Maybe it could become a battle or words instead of a battle of weapons. That'd work in both of their favors.

"You can do whatever you'd like," Ash said sweetly. "So long as it doesn't involve capturing or hurting either of us."
She'd noticed the other woman's switch to sarcasm, too, and recognised it as a survival technique- after all, it was a trick she used, too. Too bad her Team is trying to kill us...

[Whistle.Concert]

She nodded. "Thank you sweetie." She responded, aware of the passive-aggressive use of pet names that often came with sarcasm. She moved forward to try and pry the sobbing wreck of teenager from the floor, hissing softly in frustration. "Come on now. You can curl up and pity yourself later. For now we need to move, alright?"
She managed to yank the teenager up by the arm, before starting to lead her away.
"It's a shame we didn't meet under different circumstances, you know.." the older woman craned her head to look at Ashley. "I have a feeling we could of been friends."

Ash smirked in return, finally lowering the gun. "You know, I have a feeling you might be right, hon."
She glanced down at Sneezy and smiled. Well, that had gone better than she expected. She was still alive, and still free!

[Whistle.Concert]

Sneezy snorted, starting to clean her fur. "I would've shot her in the shoulder or something. No need to kill someone like that." She said to herself, knowing Ashley couldn't understand her. "I mean, that kid's too much of a soft case to hurt anyone...Her first reaction to 'cat like Pokemon', was 'cal it over, it might be dangerous but who cares it's a kitty'."

"Well," she replied, amused. "I have no idea what you're talking about, but sure, I'll agree. Come on, girl, we have to get out of this place. You wanna ride again?"
She paused as she thought of something. "You know what? I am a fool. I could've made them show us the way out of here. Well. Arceus-damn it."

[Whistle.Concert]

Sneezy started laughing as Ashley spoke, before shrugging. "Hey. Don't say that. You managed to help diffuse a situation without anyone getting attacked or shot. So we're all good."

[Dragon Gal]

Ash smiled wanly as the Sneasel's attitude changed. Well, she was pleased she'd made her laugh, at least for a little bit. "You tryin'a make me feel better? Been hanging with the boys too long, haven't you?" She sighed. The boys. "Where are my boys...?"

[Whistle.Concert]

"They're probably okay." Sneezy grinned, her ears flicking as they were itchy. "I mean, Fido's great! He'd keep 'em safe."
