... ... Oh. Pyre. Damnit, she'd completely forgotten about him. Still, maybe the Lucario would protect him. She nodded slightly, shooting a look at Kate, silently pleading with her not to release her Pokemon. She watched as the Lucario uncuffed her, then shakily stood up. She had one play. Time to use it.

"You know... I may be a big girl, enough food for your bug, but you've got no reason to keep me." She looked up, eyes flashing defiantly. "I'm not Magma."
Crap. Maybe she should've waited on that. Still. Even if she didn't like the Teams, the infirmaries being damaged was the worst case for everyone. She'd certainly distract them from that.

"...I knew it." Kaiba growled under is breath as the girl stood up, the Dog/Jackal like Pokemon holding onto her in case she needed support. He was talking about Ashley's revelation, of course. He nudged her forward. "Come on now. Bosses orders..."

"Ah, Mr. Aqua boss," Ash said, plastering a sweet smile on her face. "You just threatened to have me eaten by a Scolipede, and you don't expect me to save myself?"
She tapped her chin, stepping forwards. May as well act confident. It was the only thing that might get her out of here. "First of all, Mr. Aqua boss, you can see I'm not with Magma. Do I look healthy enough to be associated with a Team? Look at me! I'm starving to death! That's why I'm here. I was alone out there. I was attacked by a Magma patrol, and they put my bird out of action. Permanently." She gave a dry little laugh, and looked back up at the Aqua head. "Would've died out there on my own. Girl's gotta do what she can to survive, so I offered to escort these fine Magma's to the edge of Aqua territory, in exchange for them releasing me once we'd gotten there. I was hoping for a Pokemon, or medical supplies for my bird, but I guess that was never gonna happen," she spat, faking a dirty look at Kate.
"I'd just found out my help was for nothing when your grunts came and picked us up."
She looked up again, praying for this to have worked. "You see?" she asked, striding to her pack and flinging it over her shoulder, amazed that she hadn't fallen in the process. "I have no association with Magma."

Anya had wandered into the infirmary, hopping up on her trainer's bed, tail wagging. "She's not Magma!" The puppy yipped happily. "Not Magma! She's niice!"
Anya just stared at Ashley, panting slightly, as dogs were prone to do when excited.
Well, it was obvious that Anya was an Aqua, And she had an owner.

Ash couldn't help a small smile. Ah, that puppy always seemed to find her when she needed it most, didn't she?
"She yours?" she asked the Magma boy, deciding not to mention that she'd met up with his dog twice in the field. She wasn't too sure how he'd take that.
