Ayumi's eyes snapped open when she heard a loud gasp. Instantly, her hand flew down to where her kunai pouch usually was, but her fingers only brushed her clothing instead. Of course they took my kunai pouch, she thought to herself with a frown, before sitting up. When she spotted Itachi on the ground, her medic instincts took over, along with her old relationship with the missing nin, and she was about to ask him what happened, but only ended up clenching her mouth shut, watching him with her careful and observing eyes.

Temari actually let out a small laugh at Kankuro's questions, actually pretty curious as to what Gaara's truthful answers would be. It wasn't much of a surprise though when the red-headed Kazekage only let out an annoyed grunt, picking up his pace as if the action would get rid of his pesky siblings.

Itachi forced himself up, trying to catch his fleeing breath, but he failed miserably, and ended up on the floor again, choking. When he opened his eyes, everything was several shades darker then it should have been, and it was hard to make out where things were and what they used to be.

Kankuro chuckled and skipped to catch up with his brother, poking his shoulder repeatedly. "C'mon little bro! Can't we at least know her name?!"

Ayumi was silent for a few seconds, just staring at the pained Uchiha with a shocked expression. It was easy to tell that there was something wrong with him, maybe a disease, or maybe a side affect from the Sharingan- since she had heard rumors of such a thing back when the Uchiha clan was alive -but she couldn't do anything without her chakra. Then again, you shouldn't do anything, a voice in her head said.
As the young woman's expression turned serious once again, she swung her legs off to the side of the bed, keeping her eyes locked on the hurting Uchiha. "Tell me why I'm here," she said, even if it wasn't the right time to. This would be the only chance for her to have the upper hand, with his apparent condition.

Gaara let out another annoyed grunt, before putting a hand on his forehead and shaking his head with a sigh. "Ayaka," he muttered, before catching his mistake. "We're just friends." The red-headed Kazekage would never admit such feelings, mostly after his past.

Itachi stared at the ground, before things went even darker and he fell, banging his head on the railing of the bed, and passing out. (( o 3 o Ooooohhh, Tachi-kun! xX ))

Kankuro smirked and put his head on Gaara's shoulder, eyeing his brother. "Ayaka? You mean the brunette who trained at the Academy with us? Oooh, she's seeeexxxxxy! I can see why you like her!" he said chuckling.

Ayumi jumped slightly when the Uchiha hit his head on the railing, before passing out. Slowing standing up, she frowned at his limp body, annoyed that 1) he hadn't answered her question for the second time, and 2) she was stuck in an Akatsuki base without her chakra with a hurt S-Class Criminal. And, being a medic, she couldn't help that usual feeling of wanting to help him.
Bending down to grab Itachi, she let out an slight grunt when she tried to pull him up onto the bed. Despite the rest she had gotten, she barely had enough strength yet to just get the Uchiha up onto the bed, rather than the hard floor. Then again, there was quite a difference in their weight. She soon managed to get him up onto it though, with his head on the pillow.
Standing up straight, she just stared at him- mostly at the blood now streaming from his head -wondering what she could do with both him and the situation. Would it be best to just try and get a different Akatsuki member to deal with him?
{ Ayumi is going to get so annoyed at some point since nobody's telling her why she's here. xD }

Gaara pushed his brother's head off of his shoulder without hesitation, adding in a sharp glare to his brother afterwards. Temari soon reached the two with a smug grin on her face, watching her red-headed younger brother. "You should invite her over sometime!"

Itachi groaned, feeling the warm blood trickle down his face and onto his neck and collarbone.

Ayumi frowned, her arms crossed over her chest. Silently, she glanced around the room, searching practically every inch of it till she found a small roll of bandages. Going back over to the bed, she sat down on the side of it, putting a hand under Itachi's head and raising it up just slightly before starting to wrap the wound. Since she didn't have her chakra available, it was all she really could do. Yet, she couldn't even believe she was doing such a thing, since he wouldn't even answer a simple question of hers, he had destroyed their old team, and betrayed the village. Closing her eyes with a slightly irritated sigh, she continued to work on his wound. I'm only doing this because of the promise I made to Shisui, she reassured herself. It's... the least I can do to keep it.

{ She is, but she's probably going to get a lot more frustrated later on. xD
C< I have this whole plot line with a promise Ayumi made to Shisui a week before he was 'murdered' by Itachi. And, all the other plot lines I have thought of include; festivals, fireworks, irritation, the flu, an invasion, more explosives, sound ninja, and more. C: //innocent face

Gaara shot a death glare towards his brother, his eyes easily telling him that if he did such a thing, the red-headed Kazekage would personally make sure his brother didn't live to an old age. Quickening his pace, leaving his siblings behind, Gaara turned a corner and headed towards his office, debating in his head whether to visit Ayaka or not with his siblings following his every step.

Itachi coughed and slid his hand along the floor, blinded by the darkness that was consuming him. He had to make it. He had to live so his brother could "destroy" him, so Sasuke could finally get his acclaimed revenge.

Ayaka, heading towards Gaara's home, found herself running into someone and stumbling back. "Hey, watch where you're- oh, hey Gaara," she said softly, her eyes brightening at the sight of him.

Kankuro smirked and gently tugged Temari back. "Let's watch what goes on between them from here," he said with a mischievous grin.

Once Ayumi finished wrapping the wound on Itachi's head, she tied the bandages without a word, before setting the rest of them down on the bed next to him. Frowning slightly, she watched the raven-haired man for a few seconds, before sighing as she closed her eyes just slightly. Shisui... Why did you ask me to do such a thing? she thought, remembering the promise she had made to him. Suddenly though, there was a sharp pain in her head due to her earlier fight with Kisame. As she put a hand on her forehead, her eyes clenching shut, she soon opened them and glanced at Itachi, before looking down at the ground, frowning slightly. I'll just have to wait for him to wake up, to ask him again why I'm here.

Gaara had been glancing over his shoulder slightly at his brother and sister when he felt someone run into him, taking only one or two steps back from the impact. When he saw it was Ayaka, and heard what she had been about to say, he couldn't help the slight amusement that showed up in his eyes. "I'll make sure to watch where I'm going next time, Ms. Mikazuki," he mused softly, the corners of his lips twisting up just into a slight smile.

Temari couldn't help but grin when she was tugged back, actually really curious as to if her little brother had actually developed feelings for something. Nodding to Kankuro, she watched in silence, making sure to stay out of Ayaka's sight.

Itachi groaned again and started to sit up. When his eyes fluttered open, shock and pain crossed his face. He quickly hid it though, and looked around the room, as if trying to remember every small detail. Every fold in the blanket, every corner of the room, every crevice . . . Dammit . . . I can't see he thought, swallowing.

Kankuro's eyes widened and he scooted closer to Temari. "Hey, hey, hey! Sis, look!" he whisper/shouted. "Is little bro actually smiling?!"

Ayaka couldn't help the amused grin that played on her lips. "No, no. This is my fault," she said with a playful, lighthearted laugh. "I'll remember to always keep my head high for you, my Lord."
