Ayumi hesitated for a few seconds, before she only nodded, not going to push her luck any more than she already had with convincing him to let her heal him some. Without another word, she then wrapped the cloak back around her shoulders, before starting to head back to the base again.

"Then you should get some rest," Gaara said as he watched the brown-haired girl, standing up as he did. "I'll most likely be here, if you wake up or need anything. Or a medic will be."

Itachi stepped inside the base, before stopping near the entrance to wait for Ayumi.

Ayaka nodded with a yawn, before closing her eyes in content.

Ayumi was silent as she stepped inside the base after Itachi, not uttering a word as she looked up from the ground and down one of the hallways, only to freeze for a split second as she saw a few dead sound shinobi. Though she was a shinobi herself, which came with the lifetime curse of having to kill and hurt for the ones you cared about and loved, she had always been soft-hearted, and could never stand to see anyone hurt. It was one of the reasons she had decided to also become a medic. She pushed the thought out of her head though as she started to head down the opposite hallway, towards Itachi's room.

Gaara silently watched Ayaka for a few seconds, before he carefully leaned down until his lips were just barely brushing her forehead. Before she had time to open her eyes though, he had stood back up after brushing some of her hair out of her face. "If you need anything, just find me," he murmured softly in a whisper, before heading towards the door.

{ xD LOL, same! And then I'll just be staring at them while they're staring at the screen, and I'll be like 'ơ - ơ So... you going to go away anytime soon?' }

Itachi followed Ayumi's gaze, before he shook his head and followed her down the hallway towards his room.

Ayaka's eyes fluttered open, and she smiled weakly. "I love you, Gaara," she murmured, before falling asleep.

So, the world of sweets officially hates me. }

Ayumi was silent as she soon reached Itachi's bedroom, coughing just a bit as she did. "Before I do anything with your eyes, it'd be best to clean up the blood off of you," she said quietly as she stepped inside his room, her gaze staying focused down at the ground after seeing the results of the sound ninja invasion.

Gaara paused in the doorway when he heard Ayaka murmur something, blinking his green eyes in surprise. He only smiled warmly at her sleeping figure after a few seconds though, before heading out into the hallway.

Itachi nodded and sat down on his bed, taking his hand over a large cut on his arm, and wiping it away with his palm- which made more of mess.

Ayumi glanced over at him before watching him for a few seconds, only to sigh softly in the end. "You're making more of a mess," she said quietly before heading into the bathroom that was connected with the bedroom. Without saying another word, she got a towel before getting it slightly wet. She then headed back into the bedroom and went over to where Itachi was sitting, before sitting down next to him and gently grabbing his arm as she started to dab the wound with the towel. "This might sting a bit..."

Gaara was outside of the room Ayaka was in, working on some paperwork while talking to Temari. "Are you sure I can't go in to see how she's doing?" his blonde sister pestered, wanting to check in on the brown-haired girl that had caught the Kazekage's attention quite a while ago.
"She's asleep," was all Gaara said in reply. "Don't bother her."

Itachi clenched his jaws when the towel made contact with his skin, but no other emotion showed on his face, except for concern about the girl beside him.

Having not gone after Gaara, and having been awake for ten minutes, Ayaka finally decided she wanted to stand up. In the end, she found herself tumbling to the ground with a loud thud.

(( XD I do that when my uncle continuously pesters me. xX ))

Ayumi was silent as she continued to dab at the wound until it was clear of blood. She then looked up at Itachi's face, hesitating for a second before she reached up with one corner of the towel and gently wiped off some of the blood on his face from when he had coughed it up. "Are any of your wounds bothering you a lot, or is it mostly your eyes?" she asked quietly, her eyes meeting his for a split second as she spoke.

{ xD LOL, oh well! }

Gaara's head jerked up when he heard the loud thud, but before he could react Temari had opened the door, and was now standing in the doorway as she looked at Ayaka. Gaara had soon stood up and pushed past his sister in the room though, only to go over to Ayaka's side and help her sit up. "Are you alright, Ayaka?"

{ Lol, my two Uncles live no where close to me. cx It's only my two sisters who usually pester me. }

Itachi gently touched her hand. "My eyes," he replied softly.

Ayaka couldn't help but let out a soft, but pained, laugh. "I-I'm fine, I assure you," she said, gently folding her hands against Gaara's chest.
