Ayumi watched him with disbelief for a few seconds, before slowly going over to him, staring up at his eyes to try and determine how much damage had been done. "The work I've done on them might've been undone quite a bit..." she said quietly, knowing that if she didn't work on them soon they'd probably only get worse.

Gaara had headed back to Sunagakure with Ayaka in his arms, after some medics had tended to her wounds a bit more. Now though, the medics had brought her to the hospital so that they could watch over her for a bit, and the red-headed Kazekage was sitting in the room, glancing out of one of the windows. Every now and then though, he'd glance over at Ayaka to see if she was awake, before looking back out.

{ :u Psh... I still doubt he did though. He was such a flirt, anyways. }

Itachi watched her, blood slipping down his arms and chest. "I suppose," he replied softly. He was honestly terrified, but he didn't let one little bit of that slip through.

Ayaka's eyes finally started to flutter open after a while. "G-Gaara?" she coughed, almost immediately taking notice to the Kazekage's presence.

Ayumi soon stopped focusing on his eyes, and just watched him, her eyes soft. Though it wasn't too noticeable, instead of her eyes being distant and somewhat cold, a small gleam of care for the Uchiha man shone in them. "We should head back to the base so I can try and work on your eyes," she said, though she knew it would be hard to focus her medical chakra with the flu.

Gaara almost automatically looked over at Ayaka when he heard her voice, his eyes flooding with relief at the sight of her waking up. "Are you alright?" he asked as he stood up from where he had been sitting, before going over to one side of the bed. "You passed out earlier."

{ I know, you told me that, but how do you know if he was telling the truth? o a o
I mean, I'm pretty sure I saw him flirt with a few other people while I had my account. o - o }

Itachi watched the girl a little longer, before letting out a quiet, inaudible sigh. "You need rest more then I need treatment," he replied, his eyes locking with Ayumi's. "I'll be fine for the time being."

Ayaka nodded as she placed her hand on her stomach and sat up, wincing in pain. "I-I'm fine," she said softly, looking over into his eyes. "Just a little cut."

(( :U Well, because I was kind of like his relief system, and besides, it was pretty obvious. Anyways, he was always sad when you did take notice to him flirting, but every time you shot him down, he toned his mood down. A lot. <:I xX ))

Ayumi was silent for a few seconds, before she shook her head. "I'll be fine," she said, not going to let him convince her to rest when he himself was hurt. "I should at least be able to tone the pain down..."

Gaara watched as she sat up, obvious worry, yet relief gleaming in his eyes. "A little cut wouldn't make you pass out," he said, his tone soft and caring. "You were out for a few hours..."

{ . . . I feel bad now. x a x Did I really make him that upset sometimes?
I mean, he was really sweet and all, and I did enjoy talking to him a lot. }

Itachi finally let his worry show. A deep frown spread across his face, and he shook his head. "You'll wear your chakra down," he pointed out. "And you'll feel even worse."

Ayaka blinked, before looking down. "Then I need to get stronger," she said softly, unable to look Gaara in the eyes.

(( Yeah, but I think he finally got a girlfriend, and she cheered him up a little bit, but he'd never stop telling me how he wished it was you. xX ))

Ayumi just stared at Itachi for a bit, before sighing softly. She knew it was pointless to argue with him, since he would probably only end up winning in the end. "I'll only rest if you let me do a little work," she said softly, hoping he would at least let her try.

Gaara watched Ayaka with his sea foam green eyes for a few seconds, before sitting down on the side of the bed. "And why is that?" he asked softly, his eyes never leaving her.

{ Well, I feel stupid and bad now. It's good that he got a girlfriend though that could cheer him up. If I ever get a chance to talk to him again though, I'll make sure to say sorry. " > a <

Itachi frowned. Negotiations were pointless with him usually as well, but he couldn't help but give in this time. "I suppose," he said softly.

Ayaka chewed on her bottom lip for a moment, before replying," So I won't pass out from a cut," she replied with a soft laugh.

(( Don't feel stupid or bad. :U But I think his girlfriend started to annoy him after a while. XD She kept getting jealous, cos he'd pretend to work on her laptop, but he'd be off talking to people on FB. And dude, really?! e u e xX ))

"Come on, then," Ayumi said when he gave in to her suggestion, starting to walk back in the direction of the base. She started to cough a bit though as she started to walk, but it soon stopped as she paused, realizing she was still wearing his cloak. For a second, she just looked at it, before carefully taking it off of her shoulders and holding it out for him to take back. "Here..."

Gaara's expression turned into an amused one as he chuckled softly at what she said, before he reaching over and brushed back some of her hair. "That can wait till later," he said softly, amusement still lingering in his eyes. "For now, you have to focus on feeling better."

{ LOL, I do that all the time whenever I'm on my friend's computers. They'll be like 'What're you doing?', and I'll either say I'm working or checking my email when I'm usually on here, or some other site. xD
And yeah, though I'm not sure if it was her. o - o }

Itachi shook his head. "Keep it on until we get to the base. It's still cool out here, and I don't want your condition worsening," he said softly.

Ayaka smiled at Gaara, thankful he was here. "I suppose," she said softly, before lying back with a small yawn. "But I feel fine, just a bit tired . . ."

(( XD It's so fun . . . and then it's hilarious when they come in behind you and they're like, "No you're not!" and you're like, "Uh, yeah I am. I never said what email! DUH." XD . _ . Freaky. xX ))
