"You call this 'settling in'?" Ayumi said with a frown, her arms crossing as she glared at the orange-haired man a few feet in front of her. It had only been around fifteen minutes since she had finally gotten an answer out of the arrogant Uchiha, and now she had been dragged off to the Akatsuki leader's office only to be asked if she was settling in. "I'd rather be dead than be here."

Temari quickly folloed Kankuro, but only reached up to him the second he had made the brown-haired girl go unconscious. "So, are we going to bring her home and wait till Gaara comes back?" she asked, quickly following behind her brother as he dragged around the girl. Even though she wouldn't admit it, she was pretty curious as to if some of the civilians around them thought the two were committing murder or something of the sort, but she only ignored their strange glances. "I'm guessing they had planned to meet back at his office..."

{ xD Lol, or you could just say the... vase hit you first.
That's happened to me before. Kindof.
But really, when I was little, I picked up this vase which had a glass ball on the top of it, and I accidentally held it upside down, so the ball came crashing down on my face.
So... the excuse is possible. xD }

Pein grunted. "And I'd rather be taking over the world at once, rather then hearing your whiny voice," he retorted, dragging his pencil around the paper, circling a mission Sasori and Deidara to carry out in the following weak.

Ayaka groaned, her lips falling into an angry scowl. The minute she woke up, these shinobi would be dead. "Maybe so," Kankuro replied with a smirk, "But she won't be there for some time!" he mused.

"Then why don't you just let me go already," the young woman with bluish black hair growled, in response to Pein's annoying response. If she could, she would've obviously attacked the orange-haired man by now if it wasn't for the chakra seals on her wrists, but she was already at work with breaking them. It took quite a while to make strong chakra seals, and the ones on her wrists seemed to have been made not all that quickly. "These chakra seals won't last forever, and nothing obligates me to be a medic here."

Temari thought about this for a few seconds, contemplating how her red-headed brother would react to this. She knew he probably wouldn't be happy with all of this, but as long as they had the brown-haired girl with them, he obviously wouldn't show any of his anger. "Alright."

Pein looked up at the medic with a blank expression. "And nothing obligates me to keep you alive," he retorted.

"Then, kill me," Ayumi stated, her face expressionless as well as she didn't even flinch under the Akatsuki leader's intimidating glance. She wasn't going to just give in easily to any pressure, or to any threat he had. "Dying loyal to their village is what a shinobi does."

Gaara was heading back to his home in silence, lost in thought as he walked down the street that headed to his home. Had she gotten busy with something else? he thought, curious as to what had happened to Ayaka, since she had never shown up to meet him at his office. For the rest of the day, he had been distracted during his work, and found it hard to focus, which bothered him somewhat.

Ayaka groaned and rubbed at the back of her head, wincing slightly. When she couldn't find anyone in the room she was in, she slipped out her kunai and started to sneak out, ready to fight the first person who jumped out.

Kankuro glanced over at his sister. "Should we go see if she's up now?"

The corner's of Ayumi's lips turned down in a slight frown at this, breaking the emotionless facade she had kept up on her face until now. "And what is it that I apparently don't get?" she asked, her body tensing up at the man's dark chuckle.

Temari nodded, glancing out of one window as she saw their red-headed brother approaching the house from outside. "I'll go see if she's awake, since if you're the first thing she sees... Things might not go that well, for you," she said, somewhat amused at the thought as she headed down the hallway towards the room Ayaka was in, which was the guest room. "You go and greet Gaara."

(( My speech class teacher made us do it all last semester. They were all on random days, so we could never prepare, and he gave us topics. We weren't allowed to pick. He was so mean, but we all loved him cos he was like an older version of us!! xX ))

Pein circled something else on his paper. "You mean . . . you don't know?" he murmured. (( I'm soooo tempted to expose Tachi's little secret . . . >D But I won't. |D xX ))

Ayaka heard someone approaching the room she was in and she quickly hid, concealing her chakra.

{ That's happened to me a few times... Just, somewhat differently. xD I hated it all the same though.
I'm just not good at presenting things to people overall, anyways, whether I know them or not. I personally think it's worse when you have to present to people you know though, since you see them a lot. o E o }

Ayumi only frowned in return to the Akatsuki leader's response, barely knowing what he was talking about now. What she did want to know though was if all the Akatsuki members were this frustrating, since the three she had talked to by now all turned out to be. "Don't know what?"

Temari rolled her eyes slightly when she felt Ayaka's chakra presence cut itself off, confirming that the girl was awake. If she was still asleep, then her chakra would've been steady and calm, so the blonde Sunagakure shinobi opened the door without worrying about waking the girl up. "Hey, Ayaka," she said with a smile when she saw the brown-haired girl, not paying attention to the kunai she was carrying. "Looks like you've woken up."

Ayaka hadn't realized it was Temari at first, and by the time she did, she had the kunai placed firmly against the young woman's throat. "T-Temari?" she blinked.
