Full Name: The name's Elaine Krista Clark.
Nicknames: Most people just call me Ellie.
Gender: I'm quite obviously a female.
Birthday & Age: I was born on October 13th, 1993; that makes me nineteen years old.
Birthplace & Hometown: I was born and raised in New York, New York; the Big Apple.

Image

Hair color: I consider my hair to be an almost jet black.
Eye color: My eyes are a deep blue; I love them.
Height: I stand at exactly 5'6.
Weight: My weight is approximately 125 lbs.
Body Modifications: I have this tattoo and bellybutton piercing. Other than that, both of my ears are pierced once, but that's it.
Scars & Birthmarks: I'm fairly sure that I don't have any birthmarks, and no scars; not yet at least.

Image

Personality: Personality is one of the most important things in a person, so this is a question I don't mind answering. I'm a very outgoing, talkative person when I want to be, and being social is one of my biggest talents. I have been described as very charismatic, and someone even once said I had a way with words; I like to imagine that this is true. I'm a humble person, too, so I don't brag frequently and talk about myself all the time; only when I'm being interviewed or asked questions, like I am right now. My friends and family are the most important people ever on this whole entire planet, and they always come before me when importance is being decided. I'm a great listener, and I like to think that my advice-giving talents are pretty great, too; at least that's what I've been told. I'm the shoulder a person cries on if they need help, and it doesn't bother me one bit. Everyone usually calls me really sweet, so I'm guessing there's some truth to those words. I like to help others, because I'm a people pleaser; in a totally good way. I'm also very artistic; you can often find me painting or sketching anything that comes to my mind during my free time, and maybe even during some time where I should be working, too. I also do some writing in my free time, but it's nothing really big; just a hobby. I like to go to parties & make friends sometimes, but other times I also like to stay home on a rainy day and just relax; it really depends on my mood.
Likes: Some of my likes include art, sketching, rainy days, hot chocolate, furry kittens, cats in general, pastel colors, thunderstorms, parties, tea, social gatherings, swimming, running, the smell of nail polish, photography, giving advice, listening to other people, laughing, singing & dancing.
Dislikes: Hot & humid weather, neon colors, reptiles and amphibians, turtleneck sweaters, itchy clothing, bees, awkward silences, getting rejected or being ignored, animal cruelty, vegetarians, riots & protests, boredom, rude people, know-it-alls, coffee, fruit gummies.

Image

Crush: Even if I did have a crush, what makes you think that I would tell you?
Boyfriend or Girlfriend: I'm a single pringle, that's for sure.
Ex(es): I've had two exes in my whole entire life, and I'd rather not talk about them or what happened.
Sexual Orientation: I'm as straight as can be; maybe even a little straighter.

Leroy Gavin || 21 || Male || Straight || Single

You took my heart and you held it in your mouth
And, with a word all my love came rushing out
And, every whisper, it's the worst, emptied out by a single word
There is a hollow in me now

So I put my faith in something unknown
I'm living on such sweet nothing
But I'm trying to hope with nothing to hold
I'm living on such sweet nothing
And it's hard to learn
And it's hard to love
When you're giving me such sweet nothing
Sweet nothing, sweet nothing
You're giving me such sweet nothing

"Here you go, ma'am," Elaine said politely as she handed the person across the counter from her their coffee, and in return they handed over the required amount of money. "Have a nice day." She put the money in the cash register and sighed; that was the last customer in line, meaning her shift was finally over. It was a Friday, which also meant that she had the weekend off; something she couldn't stop thinking about. Maybe she could finally get some of her artwork finished; or maybe she could buy some new toys for her tabby cat, Moses; he had just about shredded up everything they owned in the apartment. Turning away from the cash register, she headed to the Employees Only room, where her co-worker Laura was sitting on the couch and reading a magazine; she was obviously on break. "See you on Monday," Elaine chirped, grabbing her purse and heading back out into the Starbucks, not really waiting for a response from the girl. She left the large cafe and took a deep breath of fresh air as soon as she got outside, happy to be temporarily free. Smiling to herself, absolutely positive she looked like an idiot while doing so, she slung her purse over her shoulder and began walking down the sidewalk, heading towards her car, which she'd parked about a block away from her workplace. She ran a hand through her jet black hair as she weaved her way through the crowded sidewalk, attempting greatly not to run into anyone. Someone shoved her a bit violently, and she scowled quietly, gratefully finding her car within the next few minutes. Whoever had parked behind and in front of her had sure done a fantastic job of making it hard for her to pull out of the slot; there was barely any room to drive. She fumbled for her keys within the messy depths of her purse and finally found them, jamming them into the keyhole and opening the door, sliding inside & pulling the door closed behind her.

[Not the best starting post, sorry. Where does this take place, by the way?]

The bitter but somewhat satisfactory scent of coffee wafted around Leroy as he pushed open the door to the coffee shop, the small bell above the door tingling as he entered. It was nice to get out of the cold for a change, and he needed to get his daily perk; an extra large caramel latte on soy milk and an extra shot of espresso. It was the perfect way to allow him to concentrate whilst he finished his work. After all, statistics and mathematics weren't exactly the best ways to live your life, especially as a lawyer, and a young one at that. So much was expected of him; he was hailed a genius and left school at fifteen to pursue a scholarship to become one of best lawyers in the state, which he was far from being.

Shutting the door, Leroy made his way up to the counter and joined the quickly lengthening line, and stole a glance at the girl at the register. He hadn't seen this one, before. Long black hair like the night sky and blue eyes, deep blue like the abyss of the ocean, Leroy decided it was rude to stare, and averted his gaze to his shoes. It didn't look like Margaret was going to be serving today, what a shame, it looked like he was going to have to pay the full price for his coffee. Leroy sighed inwardly as he approached the counter, but was taken by surprise as a large take-away coffee was handed to him and he looked up, flashing a smile at the barista, Melanie, before handing the correct change to the girl behind the register, and smiling in thanks as he turned away from the counter, and walked over to a table, and sat down, wincing as the chair groaned under his weight. He wasn't getting fat, was he? He did work out whenever he could, so he couldn't possibly be putting any weight on, unless the coffee was outrageously bad for him.

Leroy took a sip of his coffee, closing his eyes and pursing his lips as the bittersweet liquid danced down his throat in a collaborative parade of flavours. It was lukewarm; easy to skull and finish in just a few minutes, which was rather convenient for him. Margaret was a gem, and knew how he liked his coffee. He looked up at the sound of footsteps, and noticed the girl from the register leaving the store, and his bright blue gaze followed her as she left the coffee store. She must have finished her shift and he had finished his coffee, so Leroy decided it actually wasn't such a bad idea to leave, also. He stood, and walked out of the store, tossing his cup in the bin, before pushing the door open and walking out onto the busy street.

Cramming his hands into his pockets, the young man made his way down the sidewalk, breathing in the fresh air and listening to the sounds of blaring sounds and road rage as people lined up for the traffic lights to turn green. He'd never been a fan of cars, that was why he rarely used his. It was a nice car - a metallic blue 2004 Toyota Echo Hatchback, and it ran like a charm. Leroy had always developed a preference for walking, or riding a bike everywhere, and today he had decided to walk. It was terribly busy though, and Leroy silently regretted making the wrong decision, but weaved through the crafty crowd rather easily, eyebrows raising as a young woman was shoved rather violently. There was a small glint, and Leroy watched as something fell out of the woman's purse (and she didn't seem to notice), and it clattered on the ground. No one stopped to pick it up, how rude! Well, he'd be the better person, and return it to its rightful owner.

Hurrying over, Leroy bent down to pick up what now looked like a mobile phone, and he earned a few disapproving glares as he invaded the path of a few walkers. He did not say a word, instead hurried after the young woman, who was quickly escaping him in the crowd. She came to a stop in front of a Volkswagen, before unlocking it and stepping in, and Leroy sped up to a quick jog as the woman closed the door, and he ran around to the driver's side of the car, panting, before tapping on the window, and holding up the mobile phone.

"Ma'am... I think... I think you dropped this..." he spoke, catching his breath.

Elaine's thoughts were racing; what would she do first when she got home? Would she relax or would she go out and buy those items at the pet store that she needed so dearly? It was a stupid thing to worry over, but it still cost money; and she only got paid minimum wage at Starbucks. She really needed to find a better job. She started up the ignition and shoved her purse aside, getting ready to attempt to back out of this crowded parking space, when a man, who was seemingly out of breath, ran around to the driver's side of the car and tapped on her window; he seemed to be holding a cell phone that looked awfully familiar. She rolled down the window, a bit suspiciously (she was wondering if he was trying to sell her something), just in time to hear what the man was saying. "I dropped that? That should be impossible, it's right here in my purse-" She grabbed her purse and began rummaging through it, but to no avail; her search was fruitless. "Oh, that must be truly be my phone then.." She trailed off, feeling a bit like an idiot. A closer glance at the stranger showed that he was quite attractive, but she said nothing and quickly removed her gaze from him, realizing she hadn't taken the phone yet. "Oh, right, thank you then; very kind of you to return it." She took it from him politely and tucked it back in her purse. She cast one last glance at him, then realized he looked a bit familiar, himself; he was in the coffee shop earlier. "Weren't you at Starbucks just a few minutes ago? Getting a caramel latte with soy milk?" She might have been mistaken, but she was almost positive that was the guy.

L e r o y
talking with a girl

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sucking in another lungful of air, Leroy smiled slightly at the girl as she rolled down the window, and then proceeded to rummage through her purse, denying the fact that she had indeed dropped her phone. Leroy said nothing however, instead watching the young woman intently. She was indeed quite pleasing to the eye; without a doubt already betrothed or she already a boyfriend. She seemed rather nice, too. As she spoke, Leroy nodded, waiting intently as her sentence trailed off. Was there something wrong? Was he smiling like a total goofball? Leroy had never exactly been good around women, and this was shown in the lack of girlfriends he had been with over the previous years spanning over his life. Hannah, his first girlfriend when he was sixteen, well, she cheated on him, and he had been completely oblivious to it. Madeline, his second during his senior years of school, she dumped him after a week due to the fact he had bought her the wrong colour flowers for her birthday. And then, there had been Elle, whom he had gone out with for three years, and they had broken up last week.

She had been the life of the party, and probably the worst one of them all. A drinker and a smoker (he had a reserved hate for smokers), Elle had refused to leave Leroy's side until she got what she wanted, which was money, and a child. Of course, it had scared Leroy quite a bit, and he had left her, but she hadn't given up. "We're still together, you just need space," Elle had told him over and over again, and Leroy was quite regretful in regards to taking his freedom from women for granted, and he had filed for a restraining order earlier that day. And here he was, talking to yet another woman. Odd, yes, but this one didn't want to get in with him, and he had absolutely no interest in her. They were merely two strangers on the street, conversing over what was a misplaced mobile phone.

"Weren't you at Starbucks just a few minutes ago? Getting a caramel latte with soy milk?"

Leroy's attention was brought back to the woman, and he straightened up, looking at the girl. It was indeed coincidental, but it was the girl from the register at the Starbucks that had served him earlier. Okay, now that was indeed creepy. A blaring horn distracted him for a brief moment, and he turned his head. Well, the traffic was certainly getting worse. Flurries of curse words made him grin stupidly, before he turned back to the girl. "Ah! Yes, that's me, I go to your store every day, though I haven't seen you on the registers before, excuse my unobservant behavior," Leroy replied with a slight smile. "My name's Leroy, it's an immense pleasure to meet you."

Leroy looked at his watch, and then back to the traffic. "Ah, I better cut this short, I'm being awfully rude keeping you here," he sighed. "If you want to avoid all the traffic, go down the street, take your first left and then a right, it'll take you onto a road just like this one, except without all of the traffic." Leroy smiled. "Perhaps I'll see you in the store, see you." he spoke, before walking around the back of the Volkswagen, and back onto the footpath.

Elaine noticed that the man looked rather distracted, and decided that maybe now wasn't the time to bother him about seeing him earlier at Starbucks; he seemed lost in thought for a moment or two before he finally replied. Suddenly, a blaring horn went off nearby, and Elaine flinched slightly, terribly startled; why she was startled was beyond her, considering they were in a busy city with tons of loud noises and bright lights. It should have been just another average day for her. The girl also noticed that the traffic seemed to be picking up, and she grew slightly anxious; this just meant a busier, longer drive home. Leroy finally got the chance to reply and she smiled lightly at what he said, "Oh, well I'm a bit new to that Starbucks. I just recently moved so I had to switch workplaces," she explained. "It's nice to meet you, too, Leroy; I'm Elaine." She would have shook hands with the man, despite the fact that she was in the driver's seat of a car and he was standing outside; talk about awkward. That's when Leroy cut things short by saying he was going to be on his way, and gave her advice on a better route away from all of this traffic. Remembering his instructions, she nodded quickly and waved at him as he left, "Thank you, have a nice day!" That had been awfully nice of him, she concluded mentally, beginning to back out of the parking space and moving back onto the open road. Bringing up Leroy's instructions in her mind again, she followed the route that he had talked about and realized that he was right; when she turned on the correct road, there was much less traffic, and she realized it was fairly close to her apartment. After a few minutes of smooth driving she ended up parking near the sidewalk in front of her apartment building. She grabbed her purse, slid out of the driver' seat, and manually locked the doors to her car. Then she jogged onto the sidewalk and up the steps to the front door. She pulled it open and was greeted by a damp, cold, and empty stairwell; the one that led to her apartment's floor. She sighed; this was an old fashioned building and there was no elevator here, so she had to climb the stairs to the third floor. It wasn't much of an effort for her to make, but she was tired after a long day at work. She quickly climbed up the steps, heading towards the third floor.

L e r o y
going home

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Leroy smiled and waved back to Elaine as she drove off in her little Volkswagen. She seemed nice enough, and he hoped that he would see her in the store more often. After all, he did go there every day in the afternoons, to buy his cup of coffee. He liked the coffee there; it was just the right temperature and they had the correct milk to coffee ratio, which was just him being rather pedantic. Shoving his hands in his pockets, Leroy smiled to himself, before turning away from the road, and beginning to walk down the street. The sidewalk was less busy now, but it was still a hassle to make your way through. People were still rude and shoved him out of the way, but Leroy did not say a word, instead, he would just glare at them, due to the fact he was rather eager to get home. Besides, if he got home early, he would be able to catch an episode of The Big Bang Theory! That was one of his favourite shows, and the sad thing was, he pretty much understood everything they said. However, there was the fact that he also had to finish off the case for his boss.

It was a rather boring case, and it was one of the many things Leroy hated about his job. It was a dispute. Over the height of a fence. Stupid indeed, but Leroy didn't have a say in the matter, especially when there was a high amount of money involved. The way they were going, they had a definite chance of winning, not that Leroy really cared. After all, who really gave a rats if the fence was higher than a certain plant? It just meant you had to grow your shrubs a little more, not biggie. But then again, some people just liked to cause trouble for their neighbours, and this resulted in plenty of disputes lawyers had to resolve. They were getting paid for it, but even sometimes money didn't cover the boredom of doing work like that.

Leroy rounded the corner, sighing as he continued walking. His house was a block or two away, and the sooner he got home, the sooner he would be able to get his work done. And the sooner he got his work done, the sooner he would be able to do the things he wanted to do, without being labelled a procrastinator by his many work mates. They didn't do that very often, but it was indeed known that Leroy tended to leave things to the last minute, due to the fact he had a poor time management schedule. What could he say? His job wasn't exactly the most exciting, and video games, television and outside activities were far more interesting than a terribly repetitive job, such as a lawyer.

Leroy turned left, quickening his pace as he saw his house. It was nothing special, just a small, grey townhouse with a large yard and an oak tree out the front. It was nice, aside from the lady that lived next door. She was nosier than most, and Leroy absolutely despised her. Most would if they discovered that their neighbour was rummaging through their mail.

"Ey! Mistah Gavin! C'mere, you!" barked a harsh, feminine voice and Leroy looked up, groaning inwardly as an elderly lady teetered over onto his front step, her hands on her hips. "That dog 'o yours is mighty loud when you're not 'ere. Shut it up, or I will, because it's mighty annoying!" Her shrivelled prune skin wobbled a little as she spoke, and Leroy felt the urge to poke at it, but that would just be weird. He rolled his eyes, and took a few more steps before opening his door and looking back at the woman.

"Mighty annoying, you say? Well, perhaps my canine and yourself have something in common," Leroy replied, before stepping inside the house and closing the door behind him.
