How did you get here? Why you? And what's going to happen now?
Over the past few years there have always been people vanishing, never to be seen again. No one seemed to think that they might be connected, no one seemed to care enough to try and put the puzzle together. Now you, maybe someone unexpecting has been hauled into this mess. Maybe you just went to bed, maybe you were walking home from something, regardless you were kidnapped, unable to fight your way out of it, you eventually fell into a deep dark space of unconciousness. Now that you've awoke you're no longer naywhere familiar, you're in a forest. A strange forest, one that seems to even raidate darkness. This place even feels like a death trap, no way out... None... Scared you probably began to search, looking for away out, but you only ran until you saw a fence, an extremely tall electric fence. On the other side it looks like it's an abandoned town, small burned down houses and cracked roading. You try to find a way around the fence, but there is none, you're barred in by the fence. What are you going to do now? Will you find out what's going on, and if you can escape it?
----
This RPG is based off a dream I had (which was probably loosely based around The Hunger Games and Saw.) Basically some people have been kidnapped and brought to an area called the Colosseum, which consists of a forest, and an abandoned town. An electric fence makes the shape of a circle around the arena, with a line of fencing running down through, seperating the forest from the town. The town will be the first objective to go to, but finding a way past the fence will be difficult. Not to mention the fact that the madman who captured you is still here, watching you as an overseer, making sure his pwns (aka. the characters) are suffering. He'll come to the Colosseum every now and again and abduct a player or two, bring them to his chambers and making them go through an "impossible" challenge to reclaim their play in the arena (or die trying.) Once the players are across the fence they'll discover that the biggest challenge is at the end of the "game" where only two of the (however many players there are) can live and escape. The others must either be killed or remain in the arena for eternity...
I hope it isn't too twisted for CS rules, and I hope this turns out into a great RPG! ^^

the forest ;; the forest is a creepy place indeed. This is where you begin and
where you're going to have to discover a way across the fence. The forest is
wide spread, reaching over 50 mi. in length and width. There are your natural
woodland creatures here, and some are 'normal' but most have been mutated
in some way or another and pose a dangerous threat. There is one river running
through part of the forest, the rest is trees, undergrowth, rocks, and more trees.
the town ;; the town was probably once home to only about twenty or thirty
odd people. Now abandoned due to a fire years back it's part of the colosseum.
The houses reach back to the end of the arena and the only way out of the
arena is to go through the houses and town (provided you get past the fence.)
The town is home to some creepy wonders though, and believe it or not,
though the forest may seem more haunting the town is a much more
dangerous place.
the fence ;; the fence goes in the shape of a circle with a line across the
middle. It is high voltage and one shock will stun you, while three or four
will put you in a coma and/or kill you. Some parts of the fence are weaker
though, and you can tell that it's starting to fade away in some spots. It's
fairly old and because of that it malfunctions sending dangerous sparks
flying out from it. Though normally these sparks won't do much more
than knock you out for a bit, too many flecks of sparks can cause risk
of cardiac arrest.
the rooms ;; the rooms are the areas where Mr. U (the overseer) will
bring his targets when he feels like they're ready for a challenge. There are four
rooms, the basin, the voltage, the ghost, and the pit. Each room has a
few respective challenges, all just as deadly as the next. So try not to get on Mr. U's
bad side. Or better yet, just try and avoid the crazy man!

mr. u ;; the overseer and creator of the colosseum and it's challenges he's
the head guy around here. You never do get to see him, all you get to
hear is his voice over a radio (when you're doing a room challenge.) He's dark and from
what you can guess psychopathic. What's his deal? Why is he acting like he is? And
who the bloody hell is he?!
donald ;; a crazy man who lives in the abandoned town. He's not that old, but he acts
as if he's eighty. He states that he was once a player in the game but he didn't get to go
through to escape and instead managed to live here for a few years. It looks like those
years have really caught up to his mental status. Poor ol' Donald....
the trio ;; the trio are Mr. U's pets. Three large mutated dogs that do his every wim.
They're usually out patrolling the forest area and rarely will you see them in the town.
Beware these dogs are deadly, they have glowing eyes, knife-like claws, and an attitude
to match. They will kill on sight.

+ All Tess / ChickenSmoothie rules apply! I cannot stress how important it is to follow them!
+ Please only join if you're from the Semi-Literate+ club. If you think you can match it PM me with a sample, but don't get upset if I say no.
+ One character apiece. This character cannot, and willnot be flawless, and/or boring.
+ Only play your own character. I will NPC Mr. U, Donald, and the Trio.
+ Do not join if you think that you're going to quit soon after, that's not going to work for me.
+ Use your own bio / form.
+ Please be realistic with this roleplay. Your character will be dealing with some harsh stuff, understand that.
+ Keep this PG-13, it may be difficult for an roleplay of this stature but please don't go over it.
+ Don't fight, (in OOC) it's awful and considered bullying.
+ Please PM me any reservations and or rough-drafts of forms. I don't want this topic to be littered with OOC.
+ Yes there may be romance, but it's far from the point of this roleplay.
+ Have fun! C:

[ hey man ] [ zoned off ] [ am i dramatic enough? ] [ staring contest ] [ too cool for school ][[ toby james hilroy ]] {{ twenty three }} [[ male ]]
personality ;; Quiet, reserved and resourceful Toby is more or less a wallflower than anything else. He likes to remain in the back, unseen, and where he can be the introverted person that he is. He usually has a more direct approach to speaking with people and while he'll never be aggressive or nasty he'll tell them upfront what is going on or if there is something wrong. He's not someone to beat around the bush and you can always expect honesty from him, even if you don't want it. He's not really a sarcastic or cynical person unless you manage to get close to him and understand that his sense of humor is off balanced of what it "should" be. Though he is someone that you can insure your secrets with it doesn't mean that he won't silently judge you for some of your actions, however it's unlikely he'll tell you something like that. As he grows weary of sharing his own personal opinions and beliefs with people. He's not the best at first impressions, though if you try to talk with him (unless you're trying to get a rise out of him) he'll respond with a nice, diplomatic response. Even though he would hate to admit it one thing he is good at is making goals and plans, he doesn't like to have anything to do with leadership over any given group, but he is good with planning things ahead, and making sure everyone is good with their plans. He's a determined guy above all else and will fight to the end to defend something he believes in.
orientation ;; Asexual. But he's interested in girls and boys. Maybe girls slightly more though.
romantic interest ;; N/A
family ;; Mother - Grace ;; Father - Desmond ;; Brothers - David & Billy.
anyone else ;; He had a best friend named Andy.

Name: Adel Janlarsa (Previously Adelle)
Nickname: Adel
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Male
Description: Adel is a small, would-be-unnoticeable youth if not for his hair. He stands at about 5'6, which is not that impressive of a height. Likewise, he doesn't weight very much, weighing in at about a hundred and five pounds. His slimness only makes him slip into the shadows more, and it makes the extra layers of clothing he wears only make him look normal weight.
About the extra layers of clothes; Adel generally has a compression top, a shirt, and a windbreaker or coat over that. He's been far too scared to go to a doctor for help with being transgender in case of retaliation from his parents, so he's had to deal with looking like a boy on his own. His chest looks completely flat, the hardest part of his act. His face though there's little he can do about it; it looks feminine, though a bit of make-up has helped make that less so. Adel has almost delicate features and a pair of large, deep brown eyes, but they rarely show any expression in them, and are usually hidden by his hair.
Adel's hair is a shocking red. He often has wondered what caused it, as the color doesn't occur naturally often, but has never figured it out. That it has a natural sort of spike and poofiness to it only makes him stand out further. He generally has it in front of his face to help hide his features and trapped under a hat or the hood of his coat.
Despite the somewhat feminine aspects to his appearance, Adel has a rugged look to him. Perhaps it's the usual dirt and grass-stains on the knees and elbows of his clothes, the small scar under his right eye, or his slightly crooked nose -a remnant of when it had been broken and healed incorrectly- that causes it, but more likely then not it's the scheming smirk on his face.
From afar, Adel just seems a small, girlish boy, trying to hide his hair; he doesn't seem a very a noticeable person, just the way he wants it.
History: Adel had the odds against him from early on. First off, she was born a girl. She never was very good with math or sciences, or most school subjects for that matter, something her education-obsessed parents didn't take well to. She was sickly as well, something that hasn't faded with time, prone to passing out and throwing up at seemingly random times. Likewise, she didn't like being a she and knew it from a very young age. Her parents likewise didn't take it very well when she stood up and told them that never again was he going to be a girl. Adelle unofficially changed his name to Adel, and went by 'he' from then on.
His grades continued to be poor -though he excelled in forensics and psychology- and continued to get along terribly with other children, who disproved of a girl being a boy. Adel quickly separated from them, stopped paying attention in class, and spent most of his time planning various schemes in locked rooms, crafting something to hurt someone who bothered him that day. Adel quickly grew to dislike people in general, finally coming to the conclusion that life was a game to try to do one's best in. Adel also decided that 'a crime was only a crime if you were caught', shoving away most of his remaining morals in the act. The result: a heartless boy trying to make his way in the world through less-then-kind means. His life continued that way until a rather unfortunate day where he stayed late at school setting up a small little prank involving a large amount of glue, tacks, and a locker. Walking home, Adel felt something grab him, and before he could fight back he was unconscious, kidnapped.
Personality: Twisted. Hyperactive. Cruel. Cheery. Manipulating. Two-faced. Pushed too far. Strange. They're all words that describe Adel. He has two distinct sides to him, that are different in almost every way. There's his 'good' side that isn't seen often, only by his few friends and partners in crime, or when he's alone. That Adel is who he should have been, a hyperactive child with too much energy and a bright smile. That Adel laughs easily and takes amusement from simple things like a sunny day or candy. That Adell runs everywhere instead of walking, tugging along a friend. That side of him is incredibly loyal to his, albeit few, friends, and will defend them until they turn against him. And given Adell's reputation for having an arsenal of blackmail material and giving well-timed shoves at the tops of flights of stairs and small ledges, people don't want him on their bad side.
The 'good' side of Adel isn't often present. More often then not when he seems be happy enough, he's just faking it to win over people's trust. The other side of Adel is cruel and manipulative, eager to do whatever he can to make his own life better and to mess with others. He was pushed one too many times, and finally came to the conclusion that the world was just a competition to get whatever one could, whatever the means. While Adel isn't a murderer or a kidnapper or anything, 'whatever the means' is quite the wide array to him. He carries a pocket knife constantly, just in case. But the worst weapon Adel has is his mind. Adel is frighteningly smart, or more accurately, deductive. Given enough information, he can piece it together. The problem is that he uses the information he gathers for the worst of means, using everything he knows to force people into doing what he wants. He will not hesitate to blackmail and threaten someone's life. Adel is the kind of boy who, if he doesn't like someone, would steal a medicine that their life is at risk without and make them beg at his feet before saying where he hid it. This Adel is quick to anger and will attack anyone near him if they annoy him, and alas, in that state of mind of his, he's angered very easily. If he knows he can't win a fight he'll try anyway, and if he's beaten, then he'll take quiet, but painful, revenge from the shadows.
This less then kind child has a tendency to burst into quiet disturbing laughter, a dark smirk on his face. He can make himself seem like someone he's anything but to win over trust or trick someone into doing something he can use against them. His likings are odd, and he rarely talks unless he needs to.
Despite this cruel half of him, Adel really does have his first, nice side. He's take a liking to someone fairly quickly, and be a clingy little, happy friend. He holds grudges forever though, so if someone has the gift to be on his good side, it's a bad idea to change that.
Likes: Adel's favorite past time is manipulating people into doing what he wants, naturally. However, he's a sweets-lover, sunny days and snow usually get a smile out of him, so he adores sunny winter days. Adel also loves anything that gets adrenaline running. Despite not liking people, Adel has a small obsession with cute fluffy creatures, especially cats.
Dislikes:90% of people Adel hates. He's also quite childish when it comes to food; he detests vegetables. Likewise, he'll avoid homework as best he possibly can. He's also highly hydrophobic; he won't go anywhere near water.
Love Life: Adel hasn't cared much for love, but here and there he'll fall for someone. He's pansexual, but leans towards homosexual, which for anyone who might be confused means he prefers other boys.
