Kyzaria
With Aries and another stallion.Mood: Heads. Will. Roll.
Location: Inner Hamseen Herd territory
She is crushing on no-one
I'm near the base of the dune, when I spin my hindquaters around, pulling me almost instantly to a stop. I start to walk cautiously but confidently towards the stallion, eyeing the flames behind him warily. I feel like I'm on the brink of his mind, about to delve in and discover his dark plans. But the moment I do, it will be too late, for he will already be carrying them out.
I take a step towards the stallion, and toss my pale mane in the wind. Another step, and I see his eyes, eerily reflecting the flames. I take another step and snort with anticipation, anger and frustration.
You're going down, and you know it.
SoetAlone.Mood: Alone. Finally.
Location: Inner Hamseen Herd territory
He is crushing on no-one
I look around, scanning the trees and shrubs for other mustangs before letting myself relax. Finally. Alone.
I don't particularly like being by myself for long periods of time, but when it's like this - a breath of air, a break from herd responsibilities, I love it. It's a chance I can be myself, I can relax and stop stressing about how others will think of me. I start to shake, and my creamy mane ripples in the breeze, my long forelock drooping over one eye as I slowly make my way towards a small pool of clear water in the oasis. I drop my head and start to drink the cool water, my mane floating on the water's surface.
My reflection gazes back up at me - creamy-brown stallion, big green eyes. At least I know it's me.
DAM Name: Cassius
Link to DAM page: ClickGender: Stallion
Age: 4 years
Rank: Loner
Brief Personality:Cassius is a stallion who you simply cannot describe in a few words. Small and curious, he is intensly fascinated by the most mundane and ordinary things around him. He's the sort of stallion who doesn't live up to the meaning of his name, and is nothing like his parents. When he introduces himself, more learned Mustangs would question him, asking him about it, saying "but your name means 'empty', doesn't it?", in a suspicious tone, like he is some sort of villain, planning their deaths as they speak, being very 'hollow' and 'empty' of emotions. But when Cassius is asked that question, he merely grins, and says "Yes, that's right. Couldn't be more correct." with a little flick of his tail for emphasis.
It would be almost impossible to number the quirks and odd habits he has, as he has so many of them. The most clear and strange one, though, would probably be the burning passion and curiosity he has for sand. Yes, sand, you heard right. It really fascinates him how it piles into dunes, and how it is so plentiful, and acts like one single body but is really tiny little grains. He wonders how many individual grains there are, in a sand dune, in the whole desert, and he wonders if sand dunes actually stay in the same place until they are worn down to level ground, or if they gradually move to the will of the wind. It also fascinates him how sand can be whipped up into big whirling colums of wind, and how it can be flung through the air at lightning speed, to sting your coat when it comes into harsh contact. To try and discover more, Cassius likes to stay away from the oasises, keeping at the boundaries, while he tries to plow down monstrous sand dunes, climb up onto the sandy peaks, and most of all, lie still, oh so ever still, so that the gentle breeze shifts the sands so they pepper his body, eventually covering parts of his legs. He has been known to lie in the sands for days, even, until the burning desire for water and shelter and food overcome him and he leaps up from his sandy blanket, weak, thirsty and famished, but with his passion for sand never lessened, so he takes to the dunes yet again.
