[Rivkah]

The Doctor groaned as he took off, having to run as fast as possible in order to keep up with her. He was a fast runner, but apparently she was faster. Bitterly, he huffed, "Slow down!" He wasn't used to this type of terrain. Breathing heavily, he stopped to catch his breath before continue to run, now exhausted.

Xavia laughed, "Sorry! Come on! Just a bit further! There's a clearing not too far ahead of you." She stretched out, lounging against a large rock. She chuckled, rather happy that she was faster than the Doctor. Sitting up, she plucked an armful of purple flowers and began braiding them into her hair.

[Rivkah]

He found these mocking directions quite infuriating. So, when he finally reached the clearing where she was, he lunged, tackling her and knocking her to the ground. Sitting on her, he caught his breath, and said between pants, "I may be old but I'm not as creaky as you think." He grinned at her, his breathing heavy and irregular. He was used to running, but everyone got tired at some point. Taking a deep breath, he tried to calm down his erratically beating hearts.

Xavia screamed in surprise, purple flowers flying everywhere. She crossed her arms, pouting up at him. "Then run faster next time." She stuck her tongue out, giggling. "And sheesh, you're heavy! Get off." She struggled to shove him off, but failed. "You may be skinny, but you weigh a ton!" Using her elbows to sit up a bit, she used one hand to try and fix the now ruined braids she had been working on.

[Rivkah]

"Then be merciful and run more slowly next time," the Doctor shot back, grinning. When she shoved at him, he grinned. "I actually don't weigh that much. But apparently you weigh even less." He poked her, since she was equally as thin as he was. What was it that a previous companion once said? "He's so scrawny, you hug him, you get a papercut!" Yeah, that was it...

"Please get off, you hurt." Xavia said, looking up at him with large, round eyes. She batted her eyelashes innocently, gazing up at him with a soft, child-like expression. "And you ruined my braids. I wanted you to think I was pretty, so I put flowers in my braids." Blinking, she forced large crocodile tears out of her eyes. "But I guess you don't like them at all, 'cuz you crushed 'em."

[Rivkah]

Concerned, he scrambled off her, instead kneeling beside her and cupping his hands around her face. "Listen to me, Xavia," he said firmly, "you are a beautiful creature. A beautiful girl. You don't need braids to look pretty." He smiled reassuringly at her. "I didn't mean to crush them. But I will make it up to you." He helped her to her feet, before hugging her tightly.

Xavia was rather surprised at the Doctor's reaction, she'd only been joking. She leaned into his touch slightly as his hands cupped her face, which turned bright pink at his words. "D-Doctor, I-I....thank you." She returned his hug with a gentle smile, "What would I do without you?" She murmured into his chest.

[Rivkah]

He grinned down at her, before giving her a light shove away so he could step back and ruffle her hair. "I've lost a lot of friends. A lot of companions. A lot of people who didn't deserve to die in my name, or to leave at all. There's no need to thank me." He grinned at her, suddenly a bit awkward at all the sap and mushiness going on between them. There was only so much he could take; he was like any other bloke. "Oh, I dunno, you'd probably still be running for your life," he teased her playfully.

Xavia smiled, "I shall always thank you, no matter how much you beg me not too." She stuck her tongue out. "And yes, I probably would be." She giggled, standing on her tip toes to ruffle his hair al well. "Now, come on, something I was meaning to show you. Hope you like to swim." She winked, walking down a path through the dense trees.
