Lisbeth nodded curtly but her facial expression didnt change when he forgave her "Join the club, im not one for big events, society rejects me, avenger or not" she explained light heartadley, shrugging her shoulders and wincing "Nothings keeping you here" she added and motioned towards the car she was leant on and stepping away from its side, standing parralell with him "It doesnt concern me" she finished and looked ahead, clutching her side and putting all weight into one leg .

I put my hands up again, trying to produce what I could again. I connected myself with Emerald's mind again, but stronger this time, which in turn, connected me to the first goon. I then push all of his energy into the forcefield, plus all of mine. It was draining, and the goon dropped quicker than I thought possible. I managed to create a little, round, blue force of energy between the two, but soon let it drop as I began to falter. I fell to my knees, groaning softly.

.:Steve Rogers:.

I sigh softly, shaking my head, "I'm not going anywhere. Look, I care about you. And I'm staying to make sure you're alright. Okay?!" I take a deep breath as I realise I was getting progressively louder, and was disturbing others around me. "Hows your-... your rib?"

I felt Loki's presence in my mind as if it were overpowering me, in turn connecting to the goon who gasped and tried to move, but I held him still. I fed his energy to Loki, along with some of mine, and I had to close my eyes. Not only to channel the energy, but I was getting tired. Hearing something crackle in the air, I opened my eyes briefly to see the energy wall, but then as soon as it was up it was gone, Loki on his knees. I broke the connection with the man and rushed over to Loki, kneeling down beside him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "Are you alright?" I asked, looking him over.

I shook my head, groaning softly, "It takes too much energy..." I try to get to my feet again, determined that I would get this and it would work, but stumble as soon as I was up. I grab onto her arm to support myself, "Maybe tomorrow..."

I stood up as he did, arms out slightly to help him if he fell. He almost did, but he grabbed onto my arm and I relaxed a little. I nodded encouragingly and offered a slight smile. "Yeah, maybe tomorrow. We can go do something else." I said, hoping he wouldn't change his mind and want to try again. I started to lead him slowly towards the door, dismissing the two goons.

"This is going to take a while." I grumble, leaning heavily on her, and glaring ahead of me, "I hate not being able to do something, you know? I just want to get it right and get it over with." I huff, "Destroy them before they get too strong."

I nodded and smiled hoping to cheer him up, understanding all too well how he felt. "I know, I know. But don't worry, you'll get it eventually. There isn't anything you can't do."

I smile a little, and move to a nearby chair, where I slump into it's comfy material, "Oh, really, Miss Jones? Nothing?" I reach my hand out to hers, and as soon as I have it, I pull her down to my new height, smiling a little more. She was just inches away, so I leaned forwards and pressed my lips to hers.

I smiled and nodded. "Yep, nothing at all." I told him before I was suddenly pulled down to him. My eyes went wide as I looked down at him, my heart pounding. He was so close, only a few mere inches away. And then he kissed me. At first I was rigid with surprise, but then I relaxed in his arms and kissed him back, enjoying the moment. It was about time! a voice inside my head screamed joyously. But then the voice gasped, willing me to pull away. What was I doing? Loki was my boss, my work partner. If things like this started happening between us, we'd get distracted and the Avengers would slip through our fingers. This--if there even was a "this"-- could get dangerous out on the field, and then where would we be? For a moment, I hesitated, debating if I really wanted to end this or not. But then the red flag dropped in my mind again and I pulled away, back peddling and looking at him with wide eyes. I was speechless, something heavy settling itself in my chest.

I stare at her, quite astounded that she'd just turned me down - I expected her to be more willing. I let my mouth fall open, before clenching it tightly, along with my fists, "What was that for?... I thought you- You said I could do anything, and I assumed, from what I've learned about humans, that it was an invitation." I snap.
