"No, I'm afraid I must refuse, Emerald. You are key to this mission and I will not allow you to be hurt further by fulfilling a task that you do not need to complete. I will carry her, and we will lock her away where she will live for the duration we require her to." I turn to Akantha, frowning a little, "As well as expected." I then maneuver my way around the people, and unstrap the spider from her seat, where I then fling her over my shoulder, "Someone go find out where we can put her." I grumble, flashing a couple of them a glare, "NOW." A young man ran off, and came back, telling me exactly where she could be put.

Quickly, I take her there. I lock her in a cell, before making my way back towards the plane.

Natalia found the black darkness was beginning to lift. She moaned an lifted her hand to her neck which was throbbing and sore. A black darkness turned into a thick mist as her vision returned along with her hearing but she still felt as if she was underwater. Her mind frantically replayed the last few seconds of memory, a challenge to Loki and then a pain in her neck before the darkness came. Natalia sat up after struggling against the numbness of her limbs and found that her hands where bound behind her. She opened her eyes wide doing her best to take in the pitch black room. It was tiny and the one side was a black glass panel. She stiffened and started sluggishly fighting the bonds confining her not only physically but mentally too.










Kenzie Lore

Kenzie followed on behind and stayed behind the glass panel that looked into the cell. She could easily see into the cell but without turning a light on in the room she was standing in, she knew their captive could not see her. Loki had already left back to the helicopter but she had opted to stay so that she could inform Loki the moment Natalia came round. She watched blankly as she was the captive struggling and swear. Kenzie lifted a hand held radio and reported to Loki that she was awake.

 Lisbeth watched as her staff collided with her enemy yet again and almost smiled, but this was interrupted by the sudden grab of her staff, she screeched like a banshee and tugged back only to have a foot collide with her side, she winced, gasping, and her grip loosened on her weapon as she bent over, crooked, to manage the throbbing pain. luckily for her the sudden appearance and disappearance of Loki and her enemy gave her time to settle and asses the damage, a sharp pain rang throughout her side and she concluded a cracked or fractured rib, not that that was a common occurence for her. She glanced back longingly at the flames in stark tower which were being extinguished by his computer system JARVIS before looking back to Rogers, she stepped forward, wincing at every right foot step, clutching her side, the wind had almost been blown out of her from the attack but she was determined to check on her friend "Hey hey" she said in a quiet, almost timid voice, a small smile curled at the end of her lips reassuringly "Are you okay ,soldier?" she questioned plainly, a light frown appearing on her features .

I sighed and rolled my eyes as Loki politely said no. "Key part to this mission." I said as he did, nodding and rolling my eyes again. "Yeah, yeah, heard it before." I mumbled. He always said that, though when I asked for an explanation, I didn't get one. I watched him walk out with Natasha, Kenzie following after, and then closed my eyes, leaning back in my seat and gritting my teeth. The gash on my back was going to need stitches, but if I went down to the medical bay they'd hop me up on drugs and I wouldn't be able to do anything. Besides, I was determined yet again to get an answer from Loki. As his footsteps sounded in the jet again and I looked up at him, putting on the calmest, most relaxed face I could muster. "If I go down to the medical bay right now they'll stuff medications up my freaking nose, and I want to talk to you first." I clenched one fist, ignoring the burning pain in my back. "Why do you always say that? That I'm "so important" to the missions? Why am I so important? Every time I ask you always say you'll tell me later and you never do. I want an answer this time." I said, trying to sound professional and business like, but my voice coming out soft.

I frown, watching her as I stand in the door, "What?..." I ask, frowning a little more - the question /was/ quite bizarre, "Well, you're very special to me, Emerald. I feel like - finally - I have formed a bond with someone, and that special person is you. You're collected, witty, on the ball and I admire those qualities in you." I move closer, "Happy? Or do you want more?"

I rub the back of my head, groaning, before nodding slowly, "Yeah, yeah, I'm okay... It's just a very odd feeling, you know? Having someone go in and play... pull things out, stuff something in..." I sigh softly, "And you? Are you... alright?"

I was once again in shock when Loki spoke. He was just full of surprises today, wasn't he? I was expecting something, oh I don't know, governmenty sounding. Like...well I don't know. Just not that. I couldn't help it though, but I smiled, just a little embarrassed. "Oh. Yeah..I just...I..." I could barely form a single thought right now. Why was I being such an idiot all of the sudden? "You're special to me too." I said finally, smiling a little more.

 Lisbeth nodded agreeingly to what Steve was saying "I have that all the time" she croaked silently, her voice almost inaudible as she readjusted her stance so that she was leaning forwards and to the right, crushing the pain "I'm fine" she stated quickly "I've had worse" she added, which was true, last time she was on a mission she had a bullet planted into the back of her skull and buried alive, luckily with the twisting of her head she had managed to create an air pocket and digging herself out, the gunshot wound was deep but had not impacted her brain and healed sufficiently over three months of treatment, overall she was very lucky "We should go check the tower" she added, shaking away the thought with another wince .
