I hiss over at Emerald, "Come on, Em!" I call, as I hear the signal that our mission had been complete. I frown, moving over to her quickly, before dragging her back to the others in a jog. When we regrouped, I teleported us back to our aircraft.

I glanced up at Loki as he told me to come join them. "I'll be there in a second. I just need to finish her off." I snapped back. I guess he didn't like my answer very much, because soon enough he had me around the waist and was practically dragging me to the group. I kicked and struggled in his iron grip, snarling. He teleported us back to the jet and I finally was able to squirm out of his arms. "What the hell is wrong with you!" I shouted at him. "I had her! I could of finished her! She could have been one less thing to worry about later! But you--you just can't let that happen can you? Everything has to be done on your schedule!"

I turn her around, gulping, "You're bleeding." I say, simply in response, before moving around to face her again, cupping her cheek in my hand, "I promise you, next time you can kill them all. I just couldn't stand you being hurt, my friend." I then turn to those who had returned from the mission, "Why are you all sitting down?! Get her medical attention!"

Kenzie grabbed the first aid bag and pushed Emerald's shoulder forcing her to sit down on a chair. "Don't fight it Em." she said with a sigh and unzipped the bag and got out a cloth and a bottle of clear liquid which she poured out onto the rag before applying gentle pressure to Emerald's cheek. She sat down next to her and held the cloth there before turning to face Loki. "Where to now, you have your captive, how do you intent to contain her? She will wake up in an hour tops." she said gesturing to where Natalia was tied up.

I shrug, "We'll sort it. I've got magic." I watch her, fidgeting nervously, "Thank you." I say to her, quietly, before gesturing to the pilot to fly off. He does as commanded, and soon, we find ourselves back at the government base.

Kenzie lifted the cloth off Emerald's head and nodded, pleased that the bleeding had stopped. "Em you had better wash up the moment you can." she said gesturing to the blood on her shirt. Kenzie got up just as the helicopter landed and stepped forward placing the back of her hand to their captive's throat. "The effects of the drug are wearing off quickly Loki even though I gave her a very strong dose. We will be around in a about ten minutes." she said and stood back motioning for the team to step forward to move the captive to what ever cell Loki had planned.

My expression softened as Loki told me I was bleeding, his voice worried. Definitely not the response I was expecting. I felt my anger melt away and I leaned my cheek into his hand. "It's okay." I said softly. "I shouldn't have yelled at you." I sighed as Kenzie sat me in a chair and started to clean out my wound. It would definitely require stitches and a lot of pain killer. I glanced at my back, the black fabric drenched in my blood. "I'll probably need to shower too." I mumbled back to Kenzie. "But later. I'll help you guys with Widow first."

Akantha made no move to help. It was partially because the mortal hurts of her colleagues were no concern of hers, and also because she had never worked much with healing magic. Make a cut bleed wine? Sure. Knit a wound back together? Not so much. "I take it all went well?"
