"Hey, Graphite," said Nocturno, taking short, ragged breaths. "I'm fine. Dad's just having a bad day." He was rather injured, and one wing was bent after falling onto it. He weakly waved his uninjured wing to reassure his friend.
Luna flew down at once, carrying a large flower with leafy orange petals. She plucked off a piece of the stem and, telling Nocturno to open his mouth, squeezed the stem and let its juices drip into it. Then, she told him to chew a petal she gave him three times and swallow it. "It'll help ease the pain," she told him.
