(Gaaahhh! So sorry! I can never have any time to get on anymore!)

"Look everywhere!" Obsidian cried to her Tribe. "Leave no stone unturned! No bush unchecked! We must find our lost member!" She swooped down below the tree line and flew through the trees, dodging branches and twigs, eyes fixed on the ground. She never even saw the silent attacker coming.

She let out a cry of pain as sharp talons suddenly pierced her wing. She looked up, and saw only a pair of cold orange eyes glaring back at her. She had been caught by an owl! She struggled desperately to free herself.

Graphite heard his sister's cry and turned midair. "Obsidian?" He saw her caught in the owl's grasp and gasped. "Don't worry, sis! I'm coming!" he cried, preparing to fly to the rescue. He crashed into a branch, but quickly righted himself and dove directly at the avian foe.

[Moony-Mae]

(No problem! We all understand how hard it is now that school has started. )

Luna perked up her ears and turned. "Hey! Get off, you feathered vermin!" she screeched, lunging and clawing at the owl. "Why?" she thought desperately. "Everything was so peaceful, and now everything has turned on its head!"

Nocturno felt depressed and sorrowful. "No one is coming to get me," he thought, forlorn. "I guess they've all realized what I really am. A freak!"

Moonbeam and her tribe kept searching. "Nocturno!" she called as she looked for him, she sighed as she got no answer. "Nocturno!" she called again.

[Moony-Mae]

Nocturno decided to catch some bugs, but thought it better to save his energy. He flapped to his new roost and hung there just as the birds in the surrounding trees began to twitter and chirp, signaling the dawn sun.

[~Firebird Rising~]

Obsidian screamed, a high, piercing wail, as the owls talons bit deeper into her flesh. The huge bird had tightened its grip on her as it tried to fight off the other bats. It screeched, luminous eyes blazing with rage, as it snapped at Luna with its pointed beak.

Upon seeing that, seeing his sister caught in the owl's talons, then seeing it turn around and try to get Luna too, Graphite snapped.

"LEAVE THEM ALONE!!" he roared, flying at the owl in a furious rage. He slashed viciously at its feathery face and beat at it with his wings. "LET MY SISTER GO! AND DON'T YOU DARE HURT LUNA!"

The owl was taken completely off guard, unprepared for the vicious barrage that Graphite battered it with. It screeched and let Obsidian go. She fell onto a nearby, broad oak branch. Looking blearily up, she saw her brother's vicious assault on the owl. "Nocturno?" she muttered weakly, unable to believe her eyes.

Nocturno barely noticed. "DEMON! FEATHERBRAIN! FOXHEART! VERMIN! BADGERSCAT!" he screamed as he attacked the owl. At this point, the owl had had enough. With a angry hoot, it flew away, off over the trees. Graphite, still in his blood rage, tried to follow, still howling insults, but he promptly ran into a tree. He righted himself and hovered, breathing heavily.

"Oh, my gosh!" Luna breathed as she watched the owl take off over the treetops. "Graphite, that was magnificent! You're so brave!" She blushed a bit as she said this, and felt the urge to kiss him again, but held back.

"Is everyone all right?" Borealis asked the crowd. "Was anyone badly hurt by the owl?"

Nocturno, no matter how lost he was, was determined to find his way home. He ate a few bugs to get his strength up, then leapt off of his roosting branch, into the air, and beat his wings furiously, slashing through leaves and ducking under branches, trying to retrace his wingbeats and fly back to the caves.
