Time can be a silly thing, minutes pass and will never come again, though there is always new minutes to wait for, you might want something to happen but there is still hours of wait, while I would find something to do because something happening, you may never be in your room again.
Certain people are sucked into the vacuums of space and end up in a different timeline, you could have been anywhere in time itself, and whether you where royalty or modern day peasant, you now must face up to this new world. Is couldn't possibly be what your little timeline turned into, is it? This can't be the same world.

Some facts about this timeline.
Everyone here rides robot horses, these can hover 3 feet off the ground and can run up to 90 miles per an hour, when hovering, you can only go up to 20.
You are not allowed to keep real animals as pets, though you are allow to own fakes, which are indeed robots but they are programmed to grow and, someday, "die". There is a place to reboot them but they restart their lives.
Time traveling wasn't invented nor it doesn't look like it will be.
Music is very important to many people, taking away their music box, of any type, is punishable by the highest degree.
Super computers have be around before, though they tried to take over the world so they are no longer allowed. Many were destroyed but a few might still existence.
Pink is a way to rank people, the houses are colored paler when a lower rank lives inside, higher ranking people have brighter/darker shades, of course.
There isn't really paint anymore, walls/buildings are made out of this material that is programmed to change colors when needed.
