A bird cawed in the distance, as the sun rose up from behind the forest. A young teenage snow leopard blinked open her eyes as the warmth of the sun crept into her fur. She stretches out, yawning, before sitting up and sighing. She stood up and shook the frost from her fur. Lumi felxed her claws, tearing up the most she had slept on. She gazed around. She was in a small cave with a large opening, facing the forest at the foot of the mountain. Her cave was full of moss, feathers and grass. Today was the day she planned on going down the mountain and into the forest for the first time.

Bright light crawled it's way into the den of a young teenage arctic fox. The curled up ball of fur starting shifting around from a ball shape, to the average shape of an arctic fox. She sat up, blinking the sleep out of her eyes. Her jaws parted, releasing a loud yawn, showing her shape, yellow-white teeth. She stood up, ducking her chest and head close to the ground in a stretch. She sat back down, her tail resting around her, and over her paws.
"Guess I better go to the foot of the mountain to get some rabbits."
She said, glancing at her empty kill pile. She stood up and crawled her way out of the tiny den. She stretched once more outside the den, then began trotted towards the mountain.
