THIS IS THE STARTING POST:

James is a little bit of a human elitist, but since he matured into his mutated form, there's a little bit of an opening to put a little love for the muties in. Someone to give him the heave-ho off his high-horse would be nice, and he irritates easily, and snaps back easier. He's got training within an underground organization, so he's not about to wreck anything you've been working on by accident.

Marcus is fairly neutral on the topic of humans vs mutants, though he's a little biased on the side of mutants. Mostly because he's been one since he was little, unlike his brother. His personality is more of the kind, paternal variety; he likes to take care of people and soothe their emotional spikes. Though he is rather prone to panic-attacks when the situation would require a level head.

Namine is smart and calculating. She usually does not leave anyone out of her calculations. She acts very dignified, an elligant kind of evil (most of the time, expecially when she's not expirimenting). She is normally in one of two moods: evily happy, ecstatic, and malicious (you know, the evil laughter kind of stuff) or bored, irritable, and annoyed (like when an annoying siblind tries to drag you allong somewhere and you sigh, letting them lead you). However, she can also be fuled with terrible anger and even happy (I mean, really happy, not evily happy). The state that you might be able to catch her in (if you are incredibly lucky) is sad, upset, and depressed (like crying in the corner of a dark room sad). Her friendlessness and increased intelligence takes a toll on her, something that she manages to live with almost every day.

PROMPT: stop the mutant from making any discoveries.

[Anthro Form]
Namine glanced at the monitor as she worked, checking for any sign of unwanted company. Seeing nothing, she returned to delicately heating a liquid in a flask. If she got it just right, she was sure it...
The liquid bubbled and splashed, sending a scalding spray into the air. With unnatural reflexes she jumped back, careful to avoid any searing hot globs. "Well, I guess this combination doesn't work" she grumbled to herself as she turned off the heating source. She picked up a clipboard and crossed something off. "I'll find the right mixture eventually" she said as she adjusted her goggles. She was about to return to her work when a voice could be heard from upstairs.
"Namine, I think one of your experiments burned through the floor."
Namine sighed and took off her goggles, placing them on a nearby table. She unlocked the door to the home upstairs and poked her head through. A small grey microraptor stood on the floor above a hole about the size of Namine's human form fist. She looked at it and said "Fern, there's nothing to worry about. It's completely harmless to any scaled creature, and if it wasn't, the substance is gone now."
Fern simply nodded, not questioning her friend's scientific reasoning. The cat-sized creature simply clambered up a wall and glided to the more appropriately sized second floor, something most humans would think is actually a weirdly sized attic.
Namine returned to the basement to continue her work, taking one last glance at the monitor before beginning the next test.

Elsewhere in the universe, James Greg was seated in a briefing. The leader of his division was rambling on about mutants, and their inferiority, and the varying methods of dispatch. Nothing new, at the very least. He'd been summoned for some new assignment, and he was /waiting/. But no, apparently the n00bs he was being teamed with required a refresher course on the basic techniques.

He sighed gently, and slumped in his chair. pleh. this was stupid. At least the holographic system that kept him looking human wasn't flickering today. that was always annoying, and gave him the worst of headaches. So he supposed he couldn't call today a complete letdown just yet. Or, with a buzz of his pager, he could.

The boss wanted to speak with him, and he had little say in the matter. His one glorifying moment of today would be the way he flipped off his squad-leader (who was trying to glare him down for the interruption), and blew this popsicle stand, stalking off to find the honcho he got to chat up now.

It wasn't hard. The man had been waiting outside the conference room for him. "You really do need to work on your patience, Greg, your father never gave us these kinds of subordination issues."

"I apologize, sir." but that did not mean he was sorry, not in the least. The boss just grinned, raising his brows at that. James wasn't about to validate anything.

"Apology accepted, I suppose. Now. I know you prefer working alone, and I suppose that is a reasonable request at times. We have a small mission for you, just you and your shiny head. What do you say?"

"I say your head was shinier first, Sir. But sure, what did you need me to do?" Yes, yes, he was young and spry and balder than a rat's tail. No need to rub it in, oldie.

"Come down to my office, and we'll sort out the details." The boss grinned at the youngster's obvious aggravation. Yes, they did need to work on that. Eventually. He was a good worker for all his snark.
