Ejira~
Water dripping down my form, I sat quietly in the garden, radiating a fiendish aura. My eyes were closed and my ears picked up all sounds around me. The loud boom of a dragon's wings, a teacher in a classroom not to far from my location, and the hint of human music. Well, mostly human, mortals didn't exactly known how to react to 'different' beings, at least from what I'd been shown. I reached blindly behind myself, plucking a marigold from the patch. My mind sharpened on thoughts of my past, the people I'd met, and things I'd experienced. After 'Debut' a Beast purpose was to learn as much as possible about the world. The quest never ended as the world was constantly changing. Thoughts of working with the now famous Beethoven many a year ago danced forth, also sweeping in thoughts of the girl. Sharlintre.
Though I missed her, what I would have done if she hadn't passed... love was a curious thing. No longer was it courtship and marriage as I once knew but a twisted, wretched thing of torment, tearing apart one's mind, eventually consuming one in complete madness. These days love was a poison I would much live without. The scattering of birds snapped my eyes open in time to see a dragon fly overhead, his golden scales reflecting what little light there was. Intrigued, I uncrossed my legs and bolted inside, leaping over fences and a stump in my path. Piece by piece my body started dispersing into its normal form, a cloud of shimmering black smoke. I seemed to go straight through the door without stopping. Once inside I compressed together again, legs appearing first, clad in black boots and dark hued jeans. The click of my heels on the cold floors echoed in the empty hallway. I would be late for class, but then again, I had absolutely no idea where it was.
