Janet bit her bottom lip, feeling a tug of pity and sympathy for this man in the pit of her stomach. He had lost so much. "I'm sorry about your people." She said, not feeling as if the words were enough to suffice.

"What's done is done. Those who caused it will die." Rom said coldly.

Janet just nodded, his defiance scaring her a bit, but also impressing her. This man was willing to do whatever it took to avenge his people's death, and that was something to look up to. She guessed that she would do the same if it were her.

"Is there anything else your majesty?" Rom asked.

She shook her head as he called her "your majesty." "You don't have to call me that. My name's Janet." She smiled slightly.

"Alright Janet. Of you wish so." he replied.

Janet sighed inwardly. This young man was all manners and courtesy. She smiled, standing from her chair, and beginning to head twords the door. "So how long do you think you'll be staying here with us? She asked, her hand on the doorknob.
