Janet looked around, walking down towards the sparring grounds. She heard the grunts and moans of sparring, and smiled as she saw her father. She wished to one day become as great as he was. That's why she had begun training with the army in secret. She leaned against the wall above them, watching her father with admiration.

Mark decided enough was enough and took the offensive. He gracefully danced between the two easily dispatching them as both lay on the ground groaning with pain from bruises.

Janet smiled as her father beat the other two men, and watched in admiration. "Father!" She called down to him, once he was finished.

Mark looked up and saw Janet. He smiled at her. "Hello darling. "

She smiled down at her father. "That was great." She complimented her on his skills, then motioned for him to come up to where she was.

Mark immediately shifted into an enormous black cobra. He slithered to a pillar and climbed up to her level. He shifted back and stood in front of her. "Good morning ."

She nodded, looking up at her father. His eyes scared her a little but, but she wasn't scared of her father in general, she knew he loved her. "Good morning." She said. She hesitated, thinking on how to word her request. "Father, can I please go see the young man who saved the two of you? The one being treated?" She asked with a pleading gaze.

"Janet. You know I can't over rule your mothers decisions. I may be her husband but the Aves is ruled from a matriarchal standpoint. She is in charge of the Aves. She can no more overturn one of my commands when we are at the Ophidan. But I could talk to the guard. I'd most likely forget seeing you go in behind him anyway." Mark said adding a smirk to the last part.

Janet grinned at her father's last words, and began to head in the direction of where the young man was being held. She wished her mother was as layed-back as her father.
