Mother knows best. That statement is not always true. For somethings are worth looking for. Unless you have a mother who is afraid of everything outside the house. And you just want to get out and see the things you've never seen before. Or if you're a boy with a wish, a yearning to find somebody to love. To woo the girl of your dreams over. Or maybe a way to make a pot luck of money from taking innocent girls to get what you want. Well, it's all part of the tangles of life.

"Mother, please? CAn I please go to the park?" Parker pleaded, following her mother around as she got ready for work. "I'm seventeen, I can defend myself." She stopped as her mother looked back at her. Parker bit her lip with a groan as her mother shook her head. "Why?"" Parker groaned again, putting her head to the wall."Beacause, it's a very dangerous world out there. It is not something a -"She was cut off by her daughter's muttered answer."Teenage girl should experience without and adult. But that's the point, I'm almost an adult." He mother grabbed her keys and started out the door. "Stay inside, I will know if you got out today or not. Don't answer the door, don't come to see who's there.Buh-bye."

Parker sat on the couch, waiting around ten minutes to make sure her mother was gone before shutting the TV off and climbing the stairs to her room. She got dressed into a plaid button up shirt, a black tank top and skinny jeans with knee-high converse. She trotted to the bathroom after throwing her pajamas into the laundry basket and brushed her red hair into a pony tail that hung off slightly at one side of her head and down her shoulder. She sighed and and stood there a moment before switching off the light and grabbing the wallet of money from under the sink. Sh stuck it in her back pocket and walked to her mother's room. This was the only room with a window that had a ledge under it. She had got the screen out earlier in the week, so that way she could go through with her plan.

She opened the window and climbed out, about slipping on the wood. She whimpered and pushed her fingers against the glass, sliding it down slowly. Figuring it was closed, she hopped down and headed around the house, walking down the sidewalk. The air was warm, as it was the beginning of fall. She had not been out more than at least twenty times, school not being an option. Parker's blue eyes looked around as she headed for the city, nothing she had seen on TV had compared to this. Making a huffing noise, she hurried off to the mall, walking in the cool building and her eyes gazed at everything. Parker walked around for a little while, not noticing she was being followed. Soon she had found a cute hat and bought it, planning to leave the mall before her mother got hom for lunch.

Parker walked toward the entrance and walked out. She looked kept her head down as she counted the remaining money and felt a hand go over her mouth. Parker's eyes widened and she tried to scream, but she felt something pressed into her side. She struggled a little, trying to break free as the man drug her into the parking garage, dragging her to a black SUV. Another man sat in the front, look quite grumpy. She screamed, it echoeing through the garage as she was pushed into the van, tears starting to stream down her face. She managed to get out of the van, but struggled against the man's grip. She curled up in the seat she was pushed into, her face stung from where she was hit trying to get out."Oh god, oh god, oh god....."she muttered, closing her eyes.

Adam groaned as his alarm clock rang loudly through his room. Turning off the clock, Adam pulled himself out of his bed. He walked into the bathroom across the hall and quickly showered. Adam changed into a mid-toned blue t-shirt and a pair of faded jeans. Adam quickly styled his hair into the rather popular messy, flipped up hairstyle. Adam looked himself over rather quickly and then left the bathroom. He didn't have much time until he was supposed to report to work. Adam quickly slipped on his shoes, gathered his wallet and cigarettes, and walked out the door to his truck.

Adam drove his old, black truck to the mall. Pulling into a parking spot inside the parking garage, Adam then walked into the mall and reported to his job at the food court. Adam worked in the simple burger stall at the edge of the food court, closest to the door. Adam was soon busy at work, flipping burgers and ringing up customers. Finally, it was time for his break. With a large sigh, Adam took off his apron and walked out of the entrance to the hotel.

He pulled his cigarettes and lighter from his pocket and quickly lit one. He had been pressured into trying cigarettes not long after turning eighteen and has been addicted to them ever since. Looking out at the people leaving and entering the mall, his eyes drifted onto a girl who was being followed by a rather shady looking man. Not thinking much of it, considering he'd seen some pretty weird people while on this job, Adam looked away and continued scanning the people. When his eyes fell back to where the girl had been only seconds ago, Adam realized she was gone.

Adam swiftly put out his cigarette and began a quick walk toward the parking garage. As he surveyed the bottom floor Adam heard the sound of a girl screaming. Adam, picking up speed, searched for the person screaming. He soon saw a bit of a commotion going on by a dark SUV. He was a bit dumbstruck and wasn't quite sure what to do with himself. Remembering that his cell phone was in his truck, Adam turned around and headed back toward his truck. He was thinking that he needed to call the cops, not remembering that it would take much to long for them to arrive at the mall.

She opened her eyes again and felt tears run down her face. This was really happening to her. Maybe she should've stayed inside like her mother told her to. She got up and and tryed to open the door as the man was backing out, knowing hse could possibly get away since they were't moving very fast. Child lock. Great. She sat back down, starting to panic. Maybe if she screamed loud enough, someone would here. She saw a few people passing by and hit the window with her fists.That stopped when the second man turned around and put a gun out.

Parker sat back down, but crawled to the seat in the back, tears now flowing more down her cheeks. She put her head in her hands, sobbing. If only she had listened to her mother, this wouldn't have happened. She cured up, hugging her legs to her chest and sighed, trying to think straight, but millions of thoughts flowed through her brain. What were they gonna do with her? Was she going to be murdered? Would she ever be found? If she was found, what would her mother do?

Parker closed her eyes again but opened them to see the SUV drive through the parking lot slowly, as if nothing had happened. She saw a boy outside his truck and hit the window multiple times as they passed him."HELP!" She screeched loudly, hoping you could at least here her a little bit. She rested her hand against the window, he breathes ragged. She was frightened beyond belief, and she just wanted to go home.

Adam pulled open the door to his truck and began to scramble for his phone, just as he got a hold of the phone the large SUV drove by. Watching in shock, he heard a muffled sound of someone slamming on the window. He then heard what sounded like someone screaming. It was hard for Adam to see into the windows of the vehicle, but he was sure he saw the girl he'd seen earlier in the backseat. He stood still for a moment, he couldn't believe he was witnessing such a terrible act.

Before he thought much more, he was in the truck and pulling it out of the parking spot. He had to follow that truck, he wasn't going to just the them get away. He tried to stay a bit farther back from the SUV, making sure the kidnappers didn't think he was a threat. He held his phone in his hand and began to dial 911. He knew that the authorities needed to be notified, but he didn't want the kidnappers to do anything to hurt the girl. He had seen all the crime shows on television and he was probably taking a bit more from it than he should have.

Parker didn't remember when she fell asleep, but she woke up to the door being opened and her hand was grabbed. She was jostled out of the truck, a bit dazed to know what was was going on until she was pushed into a building. Her hands were bound with silver tape, and Parker struggled when they tried to put it over her mouth. HEr face was grabbed and turned toward the man."Listen here, girl. I want you to do what we say and when we say it, or you ain't gonna get to your family again, got it." The man hissed through a few missing teeth. parker felt tears well up again as she let her head drop.

She leaned quietly against the wall adn the man smiled."Good girl..."There was a loud crash somewhere in the back of the building and the man stood straight hastily, running back htere, yelling at his partner. Parker sat there and sighed, it was dark, she was frightened,a dn she didn't know where she was. Parker looked at the man come back and say,"We've got to go buy some stuff.Stay here.."He smirked and the other man followed him. She ehard teh car doors slam and the car start, then muffle off until it was silent.

Adam met up with the SUV at a rather bad part of town. They had taken the girl into the building and Adam called the local police station. Just as someone answered the phone, Adam saw the two men leave. Adam watched the SUV as the pulled away, making sure he hadn't missed them pulling the girl in as well. Adam quickly told them what was going on and where they were.

The police were on there way before Adam got off of the phone with them. Adam knew that the men could be back at any time and the police could come to late to rescue the girl. Opening the door to the truck, Adam had decided to go with his instincts and try to rescue the girl. Adam moved quickly to the building and began trying to find an unlocked exit. Just as Adam found an accessible entrance, Adam realized that there could be more people in here that were working with the men. This quickly began to scare Adam, Who am I to be running into a creepy building to rescue a girl? I know nothing about this... Adam then thought to himself. He shook his head as if he was dismissing the thoughts.

Adam slowly and almost silently walked into the building. He quickly found something to hide behind. He wasn't sure what it was, but he wasn't sure what anything in this place was. He held his breath for a few moments, trying to listen for anyone else inside the building. He didn't hear any footsteps or voices. After a few minutes of resting, Adam mustered up the strength to push forward. He stood up and began to move through the building in search of the girl. "Hello?" Adam called out, hesitation very audible in his voice.

Parker felt tears slip down her cheeks as she waited for the return on her captors. She gulped as she thought about what they might possibly do. Her head raised and she looked around, hearing a slight shuffle. HEr eyes widened. Were there more kidnappers? Possibly more than two? She felt her heart rate start to go faster as she looked around the poorly lit room.

She gulped again. She moved her sweaty wrists around, the duct tape causing her a bit of pain as her hands felt slightly numb. Her he turned when she heard another shuffle. parler's heart rate sky rocketed as she heard the boy's voice. She screeched as best she could, the tape muffling her voice, just trying to draw the human nearer. She knew they'd probably help, as they sounded scared themselves.

Adam heard the muffled scream and quickly moved toward the sound. Finding his way through all the items strung throughout the building, he finally caught a glimpse of the girl. "I'm almost there!" Adam shouted, feeling confident that no one else was in the building. When he approached the girl she looked very distraught and scared. "I'm here to help get you out of here." Adam said just before he began to pull the silver tape from her mouth. "Are you hurt?" Adam then asked.

Adam felt terrible for this girl, she looked so frightened. He didn't understand why someone would kidnap another person. Not long after he spoke he heard the sirens of the police cars driving closer to the building. This relieved him greatly, he didn't have to worry about those men coming back now. Adam knew that when they saw the police cars they would bolt.

She gasped as he took the tape off and shook her head."No.I-I'm okay." She said, her voice shaking as she spoke. SHe looked up at Adam with big eyes as she was freed from the duck tape around her wrists. She heard the sirens and gave another sigh of relief. "Thank you!" She cried, slinging her arms around his neck. She felt more tears well in her eyes.

Parker looked at him after letting him go and stood shakily, glad that this was over. Her mother was going to kill her, but she would just be glad she got to go back home. Parker looked at Adam and then walked to the door opening it, looking for the police. The sirens were still far of in the distance, and she saw the SUV pull up."Oh my gosh.."She whined and slammed the door, stumbling over to Adam.
