Jake is a tall, brown-haired teenager. He has deep blue eyes and he works out every day. He has gotten used to the heat of the desert and actually likes it. He has tanned skin and is about 5"9. He has a strong, muscular build and often wears shorts and a white or striped t-shirt. He also has a tuque that he often wears, despite being in the desert.
PERSONALITY:
Jake is sweet and kind, but also very laid-back. He loves to shift, just for the fun of it, because he has learned to shift so well. He can make friends really easily and isn't very shy. He is a bit of the leader type, but often doesn't like to speak. He often likes to be on his own, but he likes to be around people too.
HISTORY:
Jake has been in the desert since he was eleven and after five years of living in the desert, he is quite skilled with shifting and using his shifts to his advantage. He doesn't remember anything before being in the desert.

sinna rubbed her eyes and spat out sand, rubbing her mouth to get rid of the taste. She looked around, shading her eyes, and thought she saw some people..... but with all the heat waves, you couldnt really be sure. She stood up, almost stumbling in the sand, and started toward some dark spots in the distance. Her feet were starting to burn, and sinna started to run. then, she stopped abruptly. What had the man said about shifting? she then closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and thought about one of the animals she had once seen at the zoo. With a soft whisper of wind, sinna dissapeared. in sinna's place, was an anaconda. an acid spitting one, to be exact. "sinna" hissed, and started agian towards the spots.

Jake soared above the desert sands in which he had lived for years. At first he had refused to eat what the creatures he could shift into ate. But he had learned he had no choice if he wanted to survive. His sharp vulture gaze trailed along the sand below. He spotted what appeared to be a reptile of some sort and landed a little way behind it. Jake had learned one thing from greeting the many shifters who had arrived at this desert. If you see what you want to call prey, wait and see if it's a shifter first. He had nearly eaten a shifter before, which obviously would not have ended well. His unmoving piercing green gaze was still on the snake and he wondered if it would attack him. Should I shift? He wondered. But if it was real, then it would certainly attack him. If it was a shifter, it could think he was a real vulture and try to attack him anyways. He opened his wings, getting ready to lift off, just in case, but wondered how the snake would react.

"sinna" hissed, and slithered back, when she saw the vulture. She had read up on enough history to know that vultures did, on occasion, eat snakes. "sinna" hissed, and reared back, fan opening. She bared her fangs, venom dripping from them, and hissed again. If this vulture didn't go away soon, she might have to start spitting the acid... Though she did not like to, (it always left a mess) she might have no choice.
