Elias exhaled in amusement and sped up.

The truck was leaving. The car. Whatever it was. The vehichle. It was leaving.
A pair of frosty eyes watched from his cover in the scraggly trees. Watched the pale one and his mistress leave. He watched them both. Out of the old house. Out of safety.
Too soon, he thought dispairingly, she got them out too soon-!
Underneath bare pads the branch groaned as he shifted.
No- they couldn't leave this way. Stall them he had to. Stall them!
In the gush of wind, the presence in the trees had gone- leapt to another one, and then another. It followed the car.

"Lumina, hop up front. Something's not right." Elias said, slamming down on the gas as he felt another presence.

Lumina blinked and looked about, her hair flying around and whipping her in the face. "what do you mean?" she asked, her head cocked.

The truck sped up. He saw it even now as he landed in the middle of the path like a toad, with his feet on the ends and his palms touching the earth.
No, it can't. It's going to fast. He had to stop it-!
The large thing lurched foreward, his broad shoulders narrowing as he slid through the air whipping his body like a piece of paper. His powerful theighs launched him foreward as he supplied his legs with energy. The thing was practically gliding across the path in attempt to outrun the car.
But it was a lossing game. He knew it. He couldn't outrun those stupid man-mades! Not now, not in this terrian!
"&*@%!!!" He spat. His voice was like the low of thunder before a storm. His pace slowed. Too soon for plan B- but...!
Suddenly a snapping rose. he turned with his sharp, fur slathered ears on the ball of his heel to face the hazel eyes of Evolia, smiling at him. In her hands was a thick branch, snapped in two.
"Ah-" She growled softly, "Knew you'd be sniffin' 'round 'ere."
The creature backed. His mane bristled and his eyes widened,
"Wulf-"
"'Ey, what's with da last names?" Evolia adopted a look of hurt, mockery in her eyes for the lion that faced her reflecting them, "I came ta talk..."
"I won't speak with you-" He snarled, "Not after what you've done to Tobur."
"Ah...darlin' big sis- yeah, we'll get ta that latah. Now..."
The lion halted. He could hear the truck whirling father and father away. Soon there'd be no hope to reach them...! Maybe now there was none at all.
"Watcha worried for? I jus' wanna talk likka sensable beast."
The lion paused, breathing a breath to calm his thudding heart,
"Fine....Make it quick!"

He exhaled."Never mind." He said, remaining at the fast speed."We need to get there quick.

Lumina shrugged and climbed over the passengers seat, falling over it and quickly sitting up. She rolled the window down and turned her music all the way up, her head out the window. "woo hoo! Shotguns even better than the back!!"

Elias smirked."So Evo won't tell me why we're going there, but we should just go ahead and do it. Do you know she almost made me go into your room when she did? She told me,'She'll forgive you.'"

Lumina blinked and looked at Elias. "really? Well, I probably would have drop kicked you." she said, looking back at the window. She said it so casually, it almost sounded like she wasn't listening.
