Their father checked Lily to make sure she she hadn't caught anything. She had caught a cold, but would be fine. He sighed then went to Rebecca.

Rebecca glanced at her father, "Is Lil ok?" She asked, a little worry behind her voice, which she tried to cover up.

He nodded. "She has a cold, but she'll be okay," he said and sat down. Lily was peacefully asleep.

Rebecca nodded, and her eyes started to become heavy, "Good." She yawned out. She closed her eyes for a second, and then caught herself as she fell, and took a breath in heavily. "I'm glad it's nothing worse because I would have killed myself if something ever happened to her." Rebecca knew that many people when thye first met her found her rude, and nothing at all like her father. Of course, she wasn't, but that's ok. She had a good heart, and wold give the world to her little sister, although at times it didn't seem like that. Rebecca spaced out again, and then finally fell asleep, falling into her father's lap, dropping the notebook onto the floor.

Mr. Holmes smiled a little and picked up his oldest child and tucked her into bed. He stayed with her for a moment then left to do some work. Lily coughed a little in her sleep, but she was fine.

Rebecca woke up the next morning at the crack of dawn. She knew it was early, and looked at her small desk for her notebook, and when she saw it wasn't there, she panicked. She felt her heart stop beating, and scrambled out of bed,and then silently put her feet on the ground. She desperately looked around her bed, and everywhere in her room for it, and saw it nowhere. She then felt a cool breeze, and gasped, quietly, as she spotted her window open. Someone had broke into her room, and stole her notebook! She looked down around at the crowd, looking for anyone in a rush, but saw no one. She frowned, and brought her gaze back inside. She would have to leave Lily early this morning. She sighed, nad put on a silk dress, even though dresses weren't her favorite, it was short enough for her to run after someone. She then left her room, and only stepped where it wouldn't creak as she stepped on it. She peeked into Lily's room, and saw her coughing slightly in her sleep. She snuck in, and gave her a kiss on the forehead, whispering, "I'll be back, Lil. I promise." She then left the room, and spotted her dad asleep at his desk, as usual. She smiled, and walked past him, and left her coat hanging. Then at least her dad wouldn't notice she was gone right away. She smirked, and headed outside, it was partway dark still, but there was enough light to see. She shivered at the breeze brushing past her. She took a deep breath, and then began her hunt for her notebook.

Markus smirked as he sat back down in the dark alleyway with the Holmes daughter's notebook in his hand. It was almost clever of him to know she had seen something about him. She had already read it on the way home, she already showed a threat to his father. He'd have to handle that, he knew. Even though, killing people wasn't his favorite. He sighed, and leaned back againist the wall, closing his eyes.

Lily shifted slightly in her sleep when Rebecca spoke. She coughed again and shivered a little bit. Lily then heard the door close, no matter how softly Rebecca tried to close it. She woke up and looked around. She slowly got out of bed and went into Rebecca's room first. She wasn't there. Lily frowned and changed into warmer clothes, and silently left the house in search of her sister. Did Rebecca really think she was going to leave without her?

Rebecca sighed, and smiled slightly seeing her breath in the morning. She walked around, looking for any clues at all. She hoped lIly wouldn't be mad at her for leaving her.

Lily spotted her sister and followed her. She didn't make any signs that she was following her and had a hat covering most of her face. Only her delicate, light pink lips were visible.

Rebecca spotted the dog named Pride, and crossed the street, and watched him run away. She cocked her head, and followed him.
