Not many understand the comfort I get when I walk into a bookstore and take a deep breath as I look around. I feel at home; I feel welcome. I don't have to purchase anything. Being surrounded by books fills me with a sense of security.

Lizzie listened to him, her eyes searching his face. Once he'd finished, she leaned up and kissed him softly, then pulled away. "You always treat me like a princess."
Something almost like a grin seemed to pass over the creature's face, as if he understood what Evan was saying. Then, much like a dog, Red licked Evan's face.

Lizzie's eyes searched his face. After a moment, she shifted on the floor so that she sat in front of him. "You didn't hurt me," she said softly, watching him. "It was the thought of losing you that hurt me."
Lucy looked over at Evan and laughed with him happily.
