Lucy nodded, eyeing the burnt stump. "I hope he's okay..."

Lizzie kissed his cheek quickly. "It's even better because I didn't have to make it." She chuckled and took another bite.

Lucy nodded and kept walking. It was silent between them for a while before she spoke up again. "What if he left?"

Evan squeezed her hand. "I hope not."

Lucy bit her lip. "Me either."

Lizzie smiled softly, her eyes searching his face. "You're so sweet."

Suddenly Lucy stopped short, her mouth falling open. She stared straight ahead, not moving. "Red," she breathed. Through the trees, a huge red dragon was watching them his piercing green eyes. His tail was curled around his feet.

Evan looked up. "Hey Red."

Lizzie smiled wider at that. "I love you more."

Red watched them, shrinking back hesitantly. He seemed to recognize them, but he wasn't sure from where.

Lucy could sense Red's hesitance and took a few steps towards him. "Red...it's me, Lucy."
