Cam kissed her head.

Evan sat up. "You don't believe me..." he sobbed. "You don't believe me!" He cried and threw his phone, likely shattering it. He grabbed the wine and started to drink. eHe'd never been the drinking type but tonight he didn't care.

Alli closed her eyes and rested her head against his chest. "I love you," she said softly.

Lucy's stomach sank. "Evan, I never said-" Suddenly the line went dead. It sounded almost as though he'd hung up, but she wasn't sure what had happened. Either way, she knew that it wasn't a good sign. As she set her phone down, she began to cry again, almost as hard as earlier. It wasn't necessarily that she didn't believe him; it was that she was hurt that it had happened in the first place. She buried her face in her pillow, starting to sob. She loved Evan so much, and this had just broken her heart.

Cam nodded. "I love you too," he said

Evan sat and drank the wine, crying.

Alli opened her eyes and looked up at him. She smiled softly.

Lucy got up, still crying. Her headache had returned and was worse than ever, but she had to leave. She had to get back to Evan, to make sure he was okay. She walked outside to where her car was and started it up. It stayed parked for a few minutes so that she could make sure she could stop crying enough to see the road.

Evan had drank at least half the wine by now and was on the treehouse floor, passed out. He held the teddy bear he bought her.

Lucy drove home as fast as she could. When she got there, she hurried up to the treehouse, since the note said that's where he'd be. When she saw him lying on the floor, she dropped to her knees at his side. "Evan," she whispered, "Evan, I'm so sorry." She dropped her head to his chest and kept crying. She knew that he was only passed out, but she also knew that she'd done this to him. Why else would he binge drink her favorite wine and pass out holding a teddy bear?

Evan didn't wake up, but when she laid her head on his chest, he bbrought his arms from the bear to her. He moved close, partly because it was cold out.

When he put his arms around her, Lucy cried even harder, for whatever reason. "Please wake up," she whispered to him, even though he probably couldn't even hear her. "Please Evan, wake up. For me." Her head was still on his chest, but she craned her neck to be able to see him. By then she was laying at his side on the floor of the tree house. All she wanted to do was to be able to talk to him and sort this out, but not even that could happen at the moment.

Evan laid there for a moment. It was the feeling of her crying that woke him. His eyes opened and he sat up.

Suddenly Lucy felt Evan move beside her, so she sat up. She wiped her eyes on her sleeve and looked at him, her lower lip trembling. "Oh Evan," she whispered, her eyes searching his face. "What did you do to yourself?" It was obvious he'd been drinking, and he looked as though he'd been crying.
