Lucy sniffled and took a shuddering breath. "Why did this happen?" she whimpered.

Lucy sniffled. "I know you do...I'm s-sorry." She buried her face in his chest.

Alli watched from the doorway, biting her lip. There was no way Cam was going to let this one slide, based off of the look in his eyes.

Cam shook his head. "Don't be sorry. You're not the one at fault. Just... promise me you won't do... that again.

Lucy knew exactly what he was referring to when Cam mentioned "that," but she still couldn't make any promises for sure. She bit down on her lip and squeezed her eyes shut, just letting herself cry.

Cam sighed when she didn't reply. He rubbed her back and murmured comforts to her.

Alli bit her lip and watched them for a moment before turning and walking to the nearest phone. She hesitated for a long while before she finally picked it up and dialed Evan's phone number.

Lucy still cried. "All I want is to be enough for him," she whispered through her tears, "but I guess I'm never good enough."

Cam sighed when she said she wasn't good enough. "Lucy look at me. Don't you ever say that again. Evans the one not good enough for you."

Evan answered, his voice soft and frantic. Panicked and laced with fear of loosing his wife. "Hello?"

Lucy lifted her head enough to look at him. She held his gaze for a long second before collapsing in tears again.

"Evan?" Alli asked once he'd answered. His voice sounded so scared. "It's Alli."
