Alli looked up at him and sighed softly.

Cam kissed her forehead. "It's gonna be okay."

Alli bit her lip. "I hope so. I still don't remember much from what actually happened."

"Good," he said, sighing. "I just... it was terrible. It was so horrible."

Alli watched him, worry flicking over her expression. "Was it really that bad?"

Cam nodded, sighing. "It was."

Alli watched him, her eyes searching his face. "Tell me again what happened?" Her head still hurt from the fever and dizziness.

Cam sighed, and nodded. He explained her unconscious state, then the fevers and convulsing. He teared up again and looked away.

Alli listened, fear striking through her. "I didn't realize it was that bad," she whispered. She reached up her good arm and rested her hand on his cheek gently. "I love you." She wiped his eyes.

Cam took her hand, kissing it. "I was so scared," he choked out between a couple sobs. He didn't think he'd ever see her alive again. He was sure he'd never cried this hard in front of Alli, not even when Papa Joe passed.
