Lizzie nodded. "Then I will," she promised. She sighed and looked down. "I'm sorry for this, by the way. I just...I dunno. I let myself go."

Rory shook his head. "It's okay. I actually... I would've been out of the hospital faster but when I thought you left because of something I did..." he shrugged. "I didn't fight nearly as hard as I could have."

"But I..." Lizzie swallowed and shook her head. A sigh escaped her lips. "Never mind." She looked up at him. "When we were away from each other, did you ever get the crushing feeling that you were alone? Like even if people were around you?"
