Alli leaned against the wall. "So what'll happen now? Are you coming home?"

Austin sighed, slouching. "Lizzie..." he said.

Rory bit his lip, and laid his head on her shoulder. "Dad."

"Yeah. I mean, probably tomorrow or the day after," he said. "You know, just to be sure she'll adjust back to everything okay."

Lizzie stepped back to let them have time alone.

Alli nodded. "Okay. I'm so happy for them."

Austin looked at Rory. "Oh... Rory?" he asked, then hugged him. "Jack!" he called.

Rory hugged him back. "Hey Dad."

"Me too," he said.

Jack wandered downstairs. "Yeah?" he asked. When he saw Rory, his jaw dropped. Without a word, he rushed forward and pulled him into a tight hug.

Alli smiled. "So I'll see you tomorrow?" She missed him.

Cam nodded. "Yeah," he said. "How's Eli holding up? She hates when I'm gone."

Jack pulled back, shocked. "How are you- What-"

Alli chuckled softly. "She keeps asking about you."

"I'm not dead. They never told you guys I made it through the surgery," he said.

"Can I talk to her?" he asked.

"You made it through surgery?" Jack repeated slowly.

Alli smiled. "Of course." She got Eli and handed her the phone.

Eli beamed. "Hi Daddy!"
