Hannah grinned and kissed Emma's tiny head.

Cara looked up from where she was making lunch and chuckled. "Hi there."

Emma squirmed a bit, waving her fist in the air happily.

Hannah smiled and watched her, then looked up to Mack.

Cara chuckled. "Just some spaghetti. Nothing fancy."

"It smells good," he said, grinning.

Emma cracked a toothless grin as she watched her father. She was still very young, but she was old enough to smile.

Cara smiled at that. "Yeah? I'm glad."

He smiled, and kissed her nose. "Are you?! Are you?!" he asked, tickling her.

Jasper nodded, and kissed her cheek.

Emma giggled and squirmed happily as Mack tickled her.

Hannah laughed with her, unable to help it. A baby's laugh was irresistible.

Cara smiled and kissed his cheek in return, then paused. "You know what I just realized? We haven't had time alone in a very long while."
