Lizzie smiled and nodded. "Alright, I'll see you later." She hugged him back and pecked his cheek. "Love you." With that, she turned and waved goodbye.

He waved back, and watched her until he couldn't see her.

Lizzie walked back home, her mind in a faraway place.

Rory walked back inside, smiling.

Jasper was up, making breakfast.

Lizzie stepped in through the front door quietly, assuming that no one was home. If her parents found out that she'd spent the night at Rory's house, she wasn't sure what their reaction would be.

Jasper looked and saw Lizzie. "What are you doing?"

Lizzie jumped slightly in surprise when she saw Jasper in the kitchen. "Oh, hey Dad. Just out for a morning walk."

He raised his eyebrows at her. "Okay. If I find out different, you'll have consequences for lying to me, so you understand?"

Lizzie gulped. "Define consequences?"
