Marvin gave out a wide yawn. Stretching like a lazy cat on his sofa, he rubbed his eyes. He had just woken up from his 'nap'. Glancing at his wrist watch, he groaned. It was only 5 o' clock in the evening. He somewhat managed to pull himself up and sit straight on the sofa. He quickly peeked at the kitchen, checking if his mother was still there. He was glad to discover that she wasn't. Marvin would get scolded again for being 'lazy', that is. He stretched a single hand to reach the phone placed on the table next to him. No new text messages or any missed calls, as usual, he thought, sighing to himself. He decided give his girlfriend Jaclyn a call. Confirming the name on the phone book, he tapped the button call.

[wake me up.]

Jaclyn was talking to her best friend, Autumn. She jumped slightly when her phone went off. "Its Marvin!" She smiled, answering her phone quickly. "Hey baby," She said into the phone, holding it to her ear. She hadnt talked to Marvin in a while and was really happy to hear his voice.

Autumn rolled her eyes. She was tired of her talking nothing but Marvin. Marvin this, Marvin that. It was starting to annoy her. Although Jaclyn and Autumn had been friends since the 5th grade, Autumn had never told her that she was also madly in love with Marvin. She was afraid it would ruin their friendship. She was also jealous of Jaclyn. All the boys like her.

Marvin gave a short laugh. "You were expecting my call, weren't you?" he said, grinning from ear to ear. He stood up with the cell phone still fixed on his one ear and started to walk towards the kitchen. "You have any plans for tonight?" He asked half-expecting her to say no. "Steve is having this party. We should go together, you know."

Jaclyn smiled, blushing a bit. "Actually, I was just hanging out with Autumn." She looked over at her, feeling bad because she could tell something was bothering her. She just didnt know what. " That sounds like a ton of fun! But would it be okay if Autumn came?" She looked down at her painted nails. They were painting their nails when Marvin had called.

Autumn's eyes shot up. She shook her head quickly. She had always gotten really obvious when she was around Marvin. "You dont have to!" She whispered, but Jaclyn still asked.

"Autumn?" Marvin asked with a little bit of curiosity in his voice. Autumn was always kind of nice to him. Plus, she was the best friend of the girl he loved. "Yup, she can come," he said. "I am happy as long as you're there by my side." A smile slipped across his lips. Marvin felt something else when he was with Jaclyn. He felt like he was complete. She completed him. "Oh, and the dress-code for the party is black," he said, shaking his head. He wasn't a fan of the color black.

Jaclyn nodded. "Black? Sounds like I need to go shopping! Can you pick me up at lets say... 6?" She asked, standing from the couch and motioning for Autumn to get up as well. She grabbed her purse, getting on her shoes. Jaclyn had a very bright, girly wardrobe. She didnt have much black to her style.

Autumns face lit up. Shopping, now that was something she was good at. She got on her vans, going in the bathroom and fixing her hair. It just took her half a minute, so Jaclyn wasnt waiting. Autumn followed Jaclyn out the door, getting in the car,

Marvin laughed. He knew his girl, always ready to shop. "Wow, shopping again, huh?" He asked with a tint of tease in his tone. "You will look good in anything, seriously." He stated, which was very true. Jaclyn looked almost good in any kind of styled clothes. He said goodbye and hung up the phone. Falling back on the sofa, a yawn escaped through his lips. Marvin could easily get the 'laziest person in the world' award. He chuckled to himself when he thought about it. He had a lot of blackish clothes in his wardrobe so he didn't have to get bothered about the dress-code.
