Many children believe that nightmares are only figments of imagination. Many a citizen sleeps soundly in the dark. Parents remind young ones that there are only toys beneath their bed, only clothes within their closets. A person may live their entire life unafraid, never seeing what was always there.
And then there are those that can.
They will tell you that those creatures exist. That they watch, learn, and wait, hunting you until your deathbed. They will know the truth, see the signs, and above all;
They will look before they rest their heads, and never fall asleep.
October 30th, 2012 bodes good weather for visiting haunted houses and scaring little children as they go door to door for various sweets on Halloween night. With an overall average of 70 degrees and partly cloudy skies, the entire neighborhood should be packed. This year, a group of young teens seeking thrills plan to avoid the usual yearly costumes and parties. Instead, they'll be exploring a haunted asylum. No one knows when it was shut down, or what for- only that it's nearly an hour from the nearest house. The perfect place to do a little share-and-scare.
Well, that's what they thought, anyway.
Unfortunately, those kids aren't the only ones roused by memories of Hallow's Eves past, and those more supernatural are just dying to meet someone else with which to share their sorrow and agony.
Oh, and did I mention that they decided to lock themselves in so no one would get cold feet and run off?
Silly little children.

3. Violence is allowed and encouraged, just don't get TOO gory. Yeah, that's you comcom.
4. Drama is excepted! Nothing gets a better storyline going.
5. Don't expect your characters to live. I mean, be realistic.
6. No powers for the humans.

In this Role-play, the monsters are not affected by weapons. The only things that harm them or dispel them are salt and light. If you close your eyes, they cannot see you, and will not attack. There are no weapons such as pistols or swords in this game. Instead, the only way to defend yourself is to see not too much and not too little. Only children and those with great imagination can see the monsters. The younger you are, the more you can see. The older you are, the less. The monsters will try harder to get you if you can see them, and will be more likely to kill you if you are blind to them. They may choose if you can see them or not, as well, but anyone under ten years will be able to see them weather they are cloaked or not. There are no working lights in the asylum. You may not be over sixteen years and may not be under seven. It is preferred that you are middle-school or high-school aged.
