Exactly twenty years ago, the world was destroyed. Defeated, ruined, hopeless... The entire regime of Panem tried to rebell against the controlling, power-hungry government, but to no avail. Flowers were stained with the blood of the innocents as the survivors bathed in their chaos. All freedom was disintegrated and life became a routine. One year after the government regained power over the districts and destroyed the rebellion, they instilled a new tradition- the annual Hunger Games.

To most people, the idea of the Hunger Games would be something no one would dare stand for. But the government of Panem, known as the Capitol, chose the prime moment to enforce the Games. The anniversary marked a reminder to the districts exactly of their place- as the weaklings under the control of the government. With everyday being the same, repeated schedule, soon the Games flowed into another sport, another form of entertainment for those unaffected. A reality show with deadly consequences for failure. At first, the districts didn't know what to expect. Soon, once the tributes started dying off and the families turned ravenous, the victims of the Games tried to stop the Games from continuing... Yet once again, they failed. And now, as the twentieth Hunger Games approach the wounds remain fresh but repetitive. Another essence in the daily lives of the broken district civilians.

Two teenagers, called "tributes", that are from the ages twelve through eighteen are chosen from each district- one boy and one girl- to compete in the fight for their lives. They will be paraded like pets by stylists and Capitol citizens, interveiwed, studied, scored, trained, and tested. They will be human sacrifices to show to the people who is really in control. They will kill each other in the hopes to be the victor. Twenty-four of them will go in, only one will come out. The weak, the young, the crippled, the diseased all put against the strong, the oldest, the cunning, the quick. Forced to kill one another, there is no choice but to accept your fate.

Death.

The Reaping Day as they call it, has now come and gone. A name pulled out of a large glass bowl, a child torn from their families. A boy and a girl, two tributes. Doomed to die, doomed to be mocked by the blood-lusting Capitol citizens. To them? This is entertainment. A show. A thrill. To you? This is your life. Your death. Your doom. When your name was called out by the eager Capitol Ambassador who's voice rings out cheerfully through the townscenter, fear courses through your vains. What is going to happen to you? Well, only time will tell. Whether you die or triumph, you know that the path ahead of you isn't going to full of sunshine and rainbows.

Beautiful, tranquil. Terribly misleading.

The twentieth annual Hunger Games is set in a soft meadow, quiet yet dangerously vunerable. Open and airy, the whole moore is filled with grasses of an array of shades that stand around four feet tall in the thickest of spots. The fields spread through countless rolls of hills, and a gentle, premanent breeze flutters through the raspy grasses. The ground slowly rises and falls to create valleys, and take up a good acre of land, if not more. The starting spot where the tributes all stand for sixty seconds before the games begin is situated towards the northern area of the moore, on a large terrace that holds ancient, broken ruins. In the center of the ruins, a large, shining, metal Cornucopia in which houses the bounty of weapons, food, iodine, water, blankets, medicine, and whatever other assortments the Gamemakers decide to provide. The city ruins are not very big, but do span out far enough to serve as a good hideout for the stronger and braver tributes that dare stay in such an obvious hideout.

The meadow is quite pretty, and is overflowing with wildlife like rabbits, squirrels, and voles- easy prey. However, all plants inside the meadows confines are deadly poisonious. Their appearances are based off of edible plants- berries, roots, leaves, herbs, tubes, and such- but have a unique look to them, and while the fruit may look like a blackberry, it ain't a blackberry. Sweet, tangy, and inticing smells erupt from the fruits and pods of these plants, tempting starving gamers, however keep your wits these are obviously only a coax to your death. Hasty and hunger-blinded minds could easily skip past this tiny detail, but the vigilant and observant would be able to realize that eating the plants from the moore would not be the wisest. On the northern border of the meadow, a sharp drop-off marks the edge of the arena, and little is more to be said. On the western side of the arena, a large lake spans out, and serves as the main water supply for the gamers. Pure, fresh, and clean- you only need to add iodine to the lake water before you drink as to properly purify the contents. This lake is drainage from a stream, which flows and twists to form the border between the forest and the main mooreland. The river is good for water as well, but is not as plentiful with fish as the lake is. When you cross the stream, you enter the forest portion of the arena, which get thicker and darker as you continue deeper into its confines. Filled with all sorts of muttations- jabberjays, wolves, tracker jackers, and plenty of other strange and deadly creatures- this is the prime place for both prey and predators. Certain plants inside the forest are good for eating, but there are some more poisonious ones such as nightlock. Near the entrance to the forest, a shack stands, and is a good place for both resting and camping, but is a very obvious hideout. This will no doubt be a fought over spot by the stronger tributes. Within the entire territory, normal predators like wolves, bears, and so forth are hidden amongst the muttations, but who knows what the Gamemakers will through into the arena for you to fight off?

The current weather is clear-skied and sunny. Nothing unusual, or at least as it seems right now. There is no sign of rain, but as we all know the Gamemakers are unpredictable. The temperature is quite warm, around 80ºF, yet the rivers and lakes seem colder than they should be. The humidity is very high, and even a short distance sprint can lead to sweat dripping down your brow. Be careful and weary of overheating!

[ n a m e ] June ℓynn Mercer. June Lynn Mercer... How could you not know this girl? You must be new to the area, right? Well June Lynn Mercer is quite the popular one- but I will get into that later. June was named because of the day she was born- in the month of June on the summer solstice. June's middle name, Lynn, comes from her family heritage. Derived from the English word "lin", meaning "waterfall", June's deceased grandmother's name was Lynn- therefore explaining her middle name. June's last name was supposed to be Isles, which the last name of her father- but since her parents got divorced two months before June was born, her mother decided to change her own as well as June's last name to her maiden name, Mercer.

[ n i c k n a m e ] Jusт, June. June’s name is too short for a real nickname, so she just goes by June for the most part. When her parents are upset with her, they call her by her first and middle name combined- June Lynn- as a way to show their disgruntlement. June has had a few pet names, but nothing she considers a nickname.

[ a g e ] Sιxтeen yeαrs σℓd. June was born sixteen years ago. Her birthday presides on May 1st, and she skipped a grade in school due to her intelligence. Pair this with looking youthful for her age, and you get a child who seems awkward being a 12-grader in her training academy when she should only technically be an 11-grader.

[ b i r t h ] Mαy 1sт (1995) αт α ℓσcαℓ нσsριтαℓ. Being born on a month when spring is only just exiting and summer begins to seep into the air, soft bubblegum-pink blossom trees swayed gently in the warmth of the day. June's mother had been housed in the local hospital for a few days now, heavy from the pregnancy. June was one of two children born- the other being a sickly baby boy. In the womb, June had grown in the part of the stomach which provided more nutrients, and therefore is indirectly responsible for the death of her brother moments after he was born. His name was supposed to be Ames, but he lived barely five minutes past birth. Even the medical doctor hired off the plenty of money the Mercer family lived off of, June was the only baby to live of the two.

[ g e n d e r ] Ғeмαℓe, yσu ιdισт. I don't know why you can't tell June is female... Her name is feminine, as well are her girlish and frilly physique. Quite insulting of you to ask. Even though June is tomboyish her nature, she is definitely not close to being a male, despite being called "dude" by her array of guy friends.

[ o r i g i n ] Ɖιsтrιcт 4. June wouldn't fit in anywhere but this district. Her passion for swimming plus her family's wealth and ability to provide her with training marks for her being a part of District Four, known better yet as the fishing district. Since her district is a Career district, June has been trained in sword-fighting, archery, hand-on-hand combat, trident-fighting, throwing knives, and endurance. Also, she is able to fish very easily.

[ p h y s i c a l ][ a p p e a r a n c e ] Sιмρℓe. In a quick preview, June looks simple and pretty in an average way. Its how she holds herself, how she struts, how she sleekly moves through her surroundings, that make her eye-catching. Okay, now, let me begin to describe June in a way you might understand what I mean.

June's face is shadowed by her long, cascading ebony hair which falls to the end of her ribcage. She has a natural, glowing hair shade which during the winter appears dark and rich, like the bark of an elm tree. During the summer months, June's hair naturally transforms into a more glowing shade, almost matching the color of the famous Redwood trees by District 1. With lengthy, perfectly curled locks, June never brushes her hair unless it is freshly washed- simply because brushing thick, wavy hair only results in an unflattering poof. June's hair frames her face nicely, with natural layers making her face glowing and bright.

A peachy glow with brown, dappling freckles dotting her cheeks create the mark of a District 4 resident, since they are out in the sun so often they get a radiant, warm tan. June's face has a round, plumper shape, and is very smooth compared to her father's more angular, sharp complexure. She has a very slight upturned nose, that is indentical to her mother's. The clarity and perfection softness of her skin is due to the constant contact with water- she is always swimming in ocean, pool, or river water. With dark, chocolate brown eyes that twinkle with warmth, June's eyes are very beautiful. Rich like chocolate and smooth like velvet, her gaze is sweeping and natural. With faint, almost unnoticeable amber and yellow flecks, the highlights of her eyes bring out a bright and welcoming undertone that subconsciously wills yourself to talk to her. She has a angelic, petit appearance that takes two or three years off of her age-approximation, and most people assume she is a fourteen year-old.

With a thin, light, and lithe build, June is definitely a force to be reckoned with. She is nimble on her feet, able to dodge almost any blow and outrun her enemy with ease. She has a natural tendency to lean forward on her toes, adding to the reasons why June is able to be so speedy and agile. She naturally has a skinnier build, due to her high metabolism, but the little she does have on her are muscles. While she may not be strong, burly, or in any way able to wrestle someone, she does have higher than avergae arm and leg strength, due to the intensity of the muscle use during swimming in her district. In a nutshell, June is lean, cherubic, and beautiful.

[ e y e ][ c o l o r ] Ħαzeℓnuт вrσωn. With a rich, chocolately base tone, June's eyes are quite warm and eye catching. While they may not be anything exotic, like the sea-green blue eyes of her mother's, or the bright green eyes of her little sister, June's eyes are welcoming in their own way. The yellow and amber flecks in her eyes add to a delightful sparkle, and tend to create a kaleidoscope affect when in the sunlight.

[ h a i r ][ c o l o r ] Dαrκ eвσny. June's hair is a dark, rich ebony color indentical to her mother's hair. Minus a slight hint of blonde-brown tips due to the chrolination of the pools June swims in around her district, June's hair is naturally a firm, solid color and doesn't hightlight of lowlight throughout. With thicker hair folicles and width, June's hair is naturally long and wavy, and is thick and luxorious when naturally flowing down her back. There are no split ends due to the fact June doesn't bother doing silly things like straightening her hair like other girls at her age and wealth.

[ e t h n i c i t y ] Cαucαsιαn (тαn). Since this is Panem, many many years past the stage of countries and ethnicity variety, June is a simple Caucasian, and has the skin color of most other people in her district- minus a few African Americans, but they tend to inhabitat the districts further to the east and south. Naturally June has a tan complexion because of the consistency and density of her time in the sun, and freckles speckle her cheeks, nose, and arms.

[ h e i g h t ] Fιve fσσт , тωσ ιncнes. June is pretty short for her age, let's face it. While she may balance out in her skinny weight, she definitely is shorter than most people around her age. Even other teenagers younger than her are taller than her! However, sometimes being shorter can benefit you. While she can't reach to the highest shelf in her kitchen, she can climb the highest up a tree due to her small and lightweight build.

[ w e i g h t ] Ѳne-нundred αnd тen ρσunds. Like I said before, June is quite small for her age. Her light weight is only heavier than you expect because she has a bit of muscle rather than just plain skin and bones, however. June has always wanted a larger weight because she wants more muscle, but her high metabolism rate thinks for her otherwise.

While piercings are a tradition in the village June grew up in, June only has a few compared to other individuals, who have plenty more. She has her basic earlobes pierced, as well as her doubles on her earlobe, and a triple on her left ear. Her cartilage, snug, and rook are pierced on her left ear as well, and on her right ear her tragus, rook, industrial, and conch are pierced. She has a nose piercing as well, but other than that she has no body piercings- no belly button, eyebrow, lip, hip, back, or any other sort of piercings. While to some districts these may seem like a plathera of modifications, compared to the lively piercings in her area she has minimal. Also, June has a few tattoos, as well, which are tradition in the general district she lives in. She has a set of birds tattooed on the side of her left arm, like such, which was given to her under request when she turned sixteen. She also has a tattoo of a koi fish, like this, on her ankle. In her district, known for fishing, it is a tradition for any child, once they turn fifteen, to get a tattoo of any aquatic creature they deem to represent themselves or something monumental in their lives. June chose a single koi- which is supposed to be a part of the Ying and Yang fish-encirclement- to represent her off-balanced life.

[ p e r s o n a l i t y ] Ƭωσ-fαced. Hmm... where to begin. Well, June is a very sociable girl. She has always been the "it" girl in a conversation, and will always be. She makes friends easily, or at least- she makes people think they are her friends easily. June is a social butterfly, and her outgoing nature can seem unapproachable to some. She permanently has this look on her face that symbolizes her attitude, as if she is permanently judging you to see if your good enough. Being an outspoken young female, she doesn't hold back on sharing her opinions even at the cost of being shunned. Where most girls would blush at being told off, June can quickly use her quick wits to twist the situation around so you look like the bad guy. Quick with her words and having a sharp tongue, never underestimate the fact she always has something to say. Despite the fact she gets into trouble easily, her angelic smile and good nature tends to make teachers and professors think of her as the class angel, for some unknown and elusive reason to them. June knows she is pretty gorgeous, so she uses her looks and sweet outer shell to bend others to her will if she really needs to. While she may not be book smart, this girl is street smart beyond your belief. At times, she can be conniving and menacing, yet at other times June seems like the perfect die-hard best friend.

As a crush, June can be sweet, flirtatious, and very hard to resist. She is fun-loving and free-willed, and likes to roll with the punches when she is knocked back. She doesn't give up easily on her crushes, until fully-fledged and honest rejection is given- in which she tends to mentally recoil. June's bubbly and desirable nature is very prominent if she withholds a crush on you, and she is often dubbed a hopeless romantic when she tries to win boys over. Despite being very young still, June's mental capabilities to comprehend situations, such as crushes and boy/girlfriends, excels her age. As a girlfriend, June immediately takes a few steps back in her proximity to you. She isn't clingy at all, but if she notices another person trying to hone in on her boyfriend, she likes to let them know just exactly who they're dating. She can get flirty and romantic, but still being young has its disadvantages. Depending on the guy, June changes who she is when around her crush. Sometimes she is sweet and soft-spoken, sometimes she is frilly and flirtatious, sometimes she is slutty and loud.

As a friend, June is very close-bonded and protective. It takes alot for you to gain her full trust in situations and overall life, but once you gain her trust, it’s just as hard to lose. While at first it may seem like you’re her friend simply by how she treats you, June doesn't officially count you as anywhere near one until much later on. What can really show that you’re her true friend is if she shares a secret with you, or shows you are submissive and sensitive side- rarely seen by others. While she may seem tough and hard-headed to most, on the inside a rare flicker of deep sensitivity is prone to her during rough times. When June grows close to someone, she is dedicated, honest, and crazy, almost. Usually she is well put together, and the obvious product of a rich, snobby family, but when she is around friends, minus her odd contempt comments, she is a very crazy, playful and fun-loving girl. June has a very wide circle of "friends", but a few select best friends, at her current school. But now that the summer before college has made her realize she won’t be with her group of besties like she always thought she would, June feels a prick of sadness mark her every thought. Letting go of past friendships in which nothing was gone wrong saddens June greatly.

June is a very selfish, unkind type of girl. She always has been, always will. Its just how she is. While she doesn't intend to come across this way, many people know not to mess with her. She has a very sharp-tongue, that often becomes fiery and uncivil when she is pushed over the edge. While she doesn't take offense when people insult her own figure, personality, or whatever, when someone hurts her friend, she becomes very undesirable. June can be very judgmental towards others, and often can make rude remarks towards others based on first looks and appearances. Due to her well-off upbringing, she even subconsciously warns herself to stay clear of "certain" types of people. June may not be extremely clever in her studies, and people often assume based on her bubbly personality, she is the type of girl who is dumber than a brick wall. However, while she tends to shut up and keep to herself in class, she occasionally makes odd remarks that make you stop and think- "Hey, maybe your smarter than you look". Naturally, she is very proud and stubborn, and often is too prideful and dignified to apologize or try to set things right when she gets in a spat with someone. Her worst attribute is by far her sense she always needs to get in the last word, and once you set her off its hard to rail her back in. She is much like her mother in this way, and often feels ashamed of the fact. However, the worst attribute by far, is June's lust and permeable wish to have revenge. She doesn't let go of things easily, and the idea someone gets away unpunished ever makes her anger surreal and hateful. She despises all people who get away easy on situations, and sometimes takes matters into her own hands if needed. Be warned, don't get on her bad side. Revenge is a dish best served cold, and June delivers.

June's most prominent and dominant side to her is by far her seemingly dim-witted and flirtatious personality. She can be snarky, rude, and make strange and insulting comments towards others, even when she tries to control it. At her school, June was dubbed a "queen bee", when in fact, she always tried to please everyone just to get them to like her. She has a lust for attention that permanently needs to be met by someone, and hates being by herself. She fears being alone, and she fears silence even more, because she immediately connects the situation with death, or something similar. Her natural disposition to find a fault in someone is due to the fact while she was well-off, her mother rarely cared about her, and her father was often gone- travelling or busy in the wizard world. She has terrible attention-seeking issues due to this, and whenever her father came home and doted on her, she became greedy for his approving, permanent smiles. June's least prominent side is by far the sensitive, weak side. This is rarely shown, and often only symbolized when she is by herself, or mulling over something sorrowful. A sad, puckered look crosses her face; sometimes briefly, sometimes for long periods of time. The moment she realizes someone is noticing though, she washes her face deadpan and resolves her internal issues. This feeling often momentarily crosses her face when she thinks of her sister, or her friends she gravely misses.

While it may seem like June is a very vulnerable and faulty girl, she does have plenty of good qualities too. Her easy-going nature that makes her less hard-pressured paves way for her love of horseback riding and running in the wind. She loves the freedom of the wind, and simple things like such in life. June is open to new ideas, and adapts to new situations easily. While she may be stubborn on an already-made choice for herself, she does often let her own wishes subside towards others in order to please everyone. She may not seem kind, but often she makes little compliments that she delivers with a frown, so their meaning may seem confusing. June loves taking risks for the thrill, and is often the first to suggest breaking the rules. Her love of being secretive and sneaking around directly contradicts her despise of getting in trouble, yet June rarely learns her lesson. It takes alot for her to say the words "I'm sorry" or "I love you", so when she does you know its heartfelt.

When June is in a bad mood, she can seem unapproachable (more than usual), silent, pouting and droopy. She sits in the back of class, her hair falling over her gentle, caressing gaze, and mutters comments to herself. She avoids her friends, doesn't eat very much, and spends her time sulking. While she doesn't do it purely for attention, June's feisty nature tends to snap back whenever someone asks her what the problem is. When June is in a good mood, she laughs easily, takes humor as a rare gift in life, and rarely contradicts others. While she does seem like the type of social butterfly you don't want to approach for starters, if she is in a good mood, she is simple and down-to-earth.

[ l o v e s ] Ƭнe ℓιттℓe тнιngs ιn ℓιfe. First of all, June is definitely a girl who loves soppy romance. She is a stickler for the cheesy things, and with her current boyfriend, Matthew, tends to be hooked on typical dates on the beach at sunset. June also loves food, period. She loves to eat, and eat, and eat, but luckily her high metabolism balances out her high intake of calories. While June loves having friends, she only loves having genuine, real, and fun-to-be-around friends, and doesn't stand for anything less. She loves being in a good mood, most of the time, but equally loves the satisfaction of revenge. Not to mention June's lust and will for control over everything and anything- oh yes. This girl loves to be the one in charge, and to have everything under her perfect and absolute power. Overall, however, June enjoys the little things in life- a gentle touch, an unspoken word, the setting sun, a good book, a quiet fishing trip.

[ h a t e s ] Ǫuιeт αℓσт, αcтuαℓℓy. Despite loving alot of things, June does despise an equal, if not more, amount. June hates being helpless, or asking for help. The idea of needing help or seeming weak by asking for any help sends chills down her spine because she loves to appear strong and helpful. June also dislikes chaos and disorganization, as well as admitting she is wrong with anything. She loves being right, and the idea of being wrong disgusts her. In addition, this girl is the type of girl to dislike confrontation and disputes, not because she doesn't like friction, but because she doesn't want to be proven wrong, or taken aback. While she does get at a loss of words quite often, June also hates being speechless. She likes to be prepared, ready, and able to respond at all times- no matter the situation.

[ f a m i l y ] Sσмeωнαт desтrσyed, fαтнerℓess. June's family is one of quite confusing qualities. Her father, William Henry Mercer, died three years ago when he was mugged on his way home from work. He is quite respected by his fellow villagers, but due to the family's high wealth, status, and abundancy, he was robbed in an alley by a few drunkards, who beat him so hard they ended up killing him. The drunkards were found three weeks later, and publically executed since William was a strong advocate of the Capitol- therefore his death was a "loss" to the Peacemakers of District 4. June's mother, Marcelle Marie Mercer, is a bitter, crude woman who is around thirty-nine years old. Marcelle married June's mother when she was twenty-one, and he was thirty-two. They were more of an arranged marriage, done simply because the bachelor needed a wife and Marcelle came from a rich, Capitol-worshipping family in his town as well. When her husband died, Marcelle showed little sympathy besides the gentle and short weeping a widow is supposed to show. June has three siblings- two older and one younger. Her two older siblings are twin brothers, named Marcus and Liam, and are eighteen years-old. They were concieved four months after Marcelle married William, and there was a scandal around the area that Marcelle fell pregnant before she was in wedlock with her husband. Marcus now owns his own clergy-store in the downtown part of the village, and Liam is working as a Peacemaker in District Eleven. June's sister, who is six years younger than her, is the only sibling left now that the brothers had moved out. Her sister's name is Helena Margret Marytr, and she is a sickly, weak child who is unable to leave the house unless in a wheelchair. The family still lives in the manor previously owned by the father, but now under the guidance of the mother and her numerous caretakers and maids. June's aunt, Mysteria Iris Mercer, was the victor of the third annual Hunger Games- and has been an emotional wreck ever since. Mysteria lives with the Mercer household, since her only child, Lucas, transfered as a Peacekeeper to District 12.

[ c r u s h ] Ħer вσyfrιend σf тωσ yeαrs, Aℓexαnder Ludωeαg. June has been dating her family friend, Alexander Ludweag (aka, Alex) since she was fourteen years-old. While their relationship is seemingly perfect, June knows Alex has undoubtedly cheated on her. She isn't too innocent of the same crime herself, in fact. They love each other, but have yet to realize the nature of their love is not romantic.

[ o r i e n t a t i o n ] Ɩт's мσre cσмρℓιcαтed тнαn α ℓαвeℓ. In truth? June doesn't really know what she is. She wants to believe she is pansexual, but her judgemental nature leads to her being very particular in who she dates. She only dates people who are cute in appearance, genuinely sweet, fitting to their gender, and basically a cookie-cutter human being. June did have a crush on her best friend, Allie Hollis, last year, but a passionate crush that landed a hookup or two with her friend is something unclear of whether she is bisexual or just a teen with raging hormones. She definitely likes males, but sometimes feels she is better with girls simply because boys are sometimes so hard to understand.

[ s t a t u s ] Ɩn α reℓαтισnsнιρ, вuт ωιтн α ωαnderιng eye. As said before, June may be in a relationship, but she definitely is not a commited soul. She does have a wandering eye, and tends to have on and off sessions with her boyfriend. Not to mention, her longstanding crush on the boy who is the male tribute for her district can only lead to mischief. Too bad these Games get in the way of any romance, right?

[ w e a p o n ] A вσω αnd αrrσω, αs ωeℓℓ αs nιfтy ωιтн sρeαяs αnd тяιdenтs. Coming from a Career district, June had time to train before she became a tribute for the Hunger Games. She immediately took a liking to the bow and arrow, and is deadly accurate in archery. She accells her fellow Careers in archery, period. In addition, coming from the fishing district, she is able to wield a spear and trident quite easily, but not as accurately or strongly as her bow and arrow skills.

[ s t r e n g t h s ] Sнrσuded вeнιnd α fαcαde. Generally, you cannot tell what June excells in. Behind her happy and sweet mask, June is deadly, cruel, and calculating. She is very intelligent, cunning, and quick-witted, and can act on impulse instead of fear. Keeping a cool and controlled head is one of June's strengths indeed. A more physical strength June has is her light, nimble frame leading to her being able to run fast, and slip silently through forests unseen and unheard. She can climb trees quite easily, and is very light on her toes due to her light-weight.

[ w e a k n e s s e s ] A dιмe α dσʓen. Let's just say that June is not one of the strongest of tributes. She isn't burly, muscular or foreboding in her strength in any way, and definitely is not your go-to-girl for anything needing such attributes. June, in addition, is a girl of selfish and self-centered needs. Her self-indulgence from being rich and well-off has made her somewhat of a snob, and definitely put her standards higher than what they should be for the Games. June's necessity for control can also be a weakness, since she can sometimes sabotage herself in the process of her lust of power.
