Connor and Muttley raced each other past Cassie's line of view. Connor as laughing as was as happy as anyone could be.

Cassie watched Conner and blinked a bit. She wondered why someone could be so happy. She bite her lip and sat down on the curb.

Muttley pushed Connor down and Connor fell. He rolled onto his back and the dog curled up on him. Connor looked up at the sky, stroking the dog and tickling him behind his ears. He was also talking to him.

Cassie glanced over to them and bite her lip.

Suddenly, Connor was surrounded by 3 rich spoilt bullies. One of them kicked Muttley off and he yelped. Another grabbed Connor's shirt and puleed him up. Connor whimpered and shook, knowing what was coming.

Cassie blinked, seeing what was going on. She knew the guys-Who wouldn't! She got up and walked over to the guy holding Conner up. "Brent! What the heck are you doing! Put him down!" She demanded, grabbing onto his hand.

"Why should I?" Brent growled and punched Connor in the stomach. Connor yelped and curled up best he could as he dangled from his fist.

Cassie looked at Conner. "Brent just let go!" Cassie got in between then. "Please Brent, Just let go of him!" She pleaded.

Brent growled menacingly and dropped him. Connor landed on the floor and curled up, shaking. Muttley whimpered and licked Connor's hand. "There! I lettim go. Happy?"

Cassie looked at Conner with sad eyes. She looked back at Brent. "Yeah..Please just leave him alone. What he ever do to you?" She asked him. She kept glancing at Conner.
