Kiwaro + Thursday

[rem sleep]

On a cold city night, breeze sweeping through the sky two dragons wandered the city. Where they would meet and what events could unfold, nothing but a mystery. Lights dimming and the city fading reluctantly to black... Late that night the two might just meet, on a cold city night.

The night was crisp and cloudy as the circles of light awed the jellybean dragon that strode along the empty streets. He was not daunted by the aura of mysteriousness the night held. In fact, the salmon colored dragon encouraged it. He longed to be different and yet still fit into the group of humans that had taken him in from the forest and brought him here. He thought to himself about how he should probably be heading towards Simon's home, the leader of their group and pretty much his owner.

"Better not keep him waiting..." the great dane jellybean sighed as he started to pick up pace, an afternoon drizzle leaving mist and glistening asphalt underneath his blue feet. The piercings in his left ear jingled a bit as he panted with every lunge. The dragon admitted he needed to get out more and exercise, but he lived pretty lavishly and thus it wasn't a necessity.

He paused as he sniffed the air and the fresh aroma of dough came to his nostrils. "Mmmm, looks like good ole Mac is baking again... maybe he will let me steal a pretzel before I head back..." the jellybean dragon wondered to himself aloud. He slowly approached the old shop near the outskirts of the city limits. The dragon thought about going back to his forest home, but he had no sense of direction of where to start looking. So in the city with the humans he knew, was his best bet.

He pawed at the little back door in a dark alleyway as a chubby man turned a lone light on above it. The tuscan light warm and almost blinding to the dragon as he feebly cried out when the man looked back at him. "Ah, well if it isn't that rascal Kiwaro... you're not starving out here, you fat punk..." but Kiwaro continued to give him puppy-like eyes until the man gave in. "Alright, comere and let old Mac fix you up one of them nice big pretzel... silly beast!" as the man returned he handed the soft pastry to the dragon and ruffled the fur on his head. "Tell Simon and the other I said Hi for me, will ya?"

Kiwaro just nodded before puffing his chest out in pride of his prize as he pranced off and the man closed the door behind him.

Someone was here... Thursday could hear it in the air. The smaller, labrador sized jellybean dragon had been following Kiwaro for awhile now, considering his move. But he was a bit too obvious with his neon glow sticks illuminating the path around him. He had noticed the large salmon dragon as he entered the pastry shop, Thurs agilely followed him inside. The smaller dragon nudged Ki lightly in the back with one paw, hoping to get his attention. But it didn't seem to work all that well as he was distracted by his pretzel. So Thursday patiently waited for him to finish, and by patiently I mean as UNpatiently as anyone has ever waited. Thurs nudged him again after about two seconds of waiting. The blue dragon had never been known for his patience.

Hey! You! Thurs sat, trying to get his attention for a good few minutes. I seriously don't see why I bother... He mumbled, before letting out a sigh of smog. Big guy!

Thurs kept poking at the dragon, waiting for a response from the plump creature.

Thursday realized that compared to him, this dragon was MUCH bigger! The blue dragon was almost bone thin, and quite fast. While the salmon... He was a bit pudgy. Also, size difference! Geez, he was a good foot taller! Thurs sighed, why did it seem all dragons his age were bigger than him? Thursday became a bit sidetracked by his thoughts, spacing out for a little while...

Kiwaro hadn't even noticed he was being followed, much less nudged until he opened his mouth to say something before hearing a loud 'plop'. "Oh no! Look what you made me do!" the dragon sighed as he pawed the soggy pretzel out of the water before turning and glancing back at the dragon that had caused the mess.

"Hm? Who are you and what do you want with me and my pretzel? I got it myself so it's mine!" he felt the hairs on his neck raise a bit in aggressiveness. Ki wasn't known for being a cold blooded killer, but he was the kind of guy who valued respect to yourself and others. What right did this jellybean dragon have to push him and cause him to loose his midnight snack?

[rem sleep]

Thursday blinked. Oh, hi. I kinda spaced out... Anyways, I was just gonna ask who you were... Well I forgot. Either way, hi! Thursday tried to be a bit more cheerful that normal, his tail swayed a bit as his collar jingled playfully. I'm Thursday, and for the record that pretzel was already half finished. The blue dragon began to prance circles around the larger JBD. Sooo, what's your name? Thurs stopped in front of him and waited for a response, his tail still swaying.

Kiwaro snorted smoke as he sighed and admitted the smaller jbd was right, he had begun eating it. But that didn't mean he didn't want to finish it...now did it? The bigger jbd sat and watched as Thursday began to circle him, why was he acting like a hyperactive baby? Kiwaro decided it was best to try and give him another chance at the least...

"Name's Kiwaro... wait... why were you following me?" The salmon colored dragon just realized what Thursday had said.Kiwaro's tail lashed violently in agitation. The jingling of his color making his ears ring. "What is that you are wearing? It sounds silly..." he added in as he pawed the half eaten pretzel with his paws.

[rem sleep]

Thursday's fur ruffled a little. It it not silly! Thursday looked injured, yet also a bit uncaring. It's something special to me, I'm sorry it hurts your ears though. Thursday sat in front of him, taking on an entirely different atmosphere... Suddenly he was serious and serene, he didn't smile at this point. I was following you to decide weather you were a threat... He swerved his tail, his bell jingling again. But it'd obvious to me you pose no harm. The seriousness was shattered as the dragon beamed again, I can get you a new snack if you want, I can tell it's a ways home for you. Thursday frowned, a bit sad that Kiwaro couldn't walk half as far as him.

Suddenly there was a loud cracking noise...

(Apologize for short fail.)

Kiwaro looked around for the cracking noise. "Did you hear something?" he became concerned, mostly for himself... not for this weird dragon following him around like some crazy stalker. Ki just wanted proof he wasn't hearing things.

"And nah, I'm good... I was just heading home anyways... life's busy ya know..." he shrugged as he started to walk off without even saying a goodbye. He didn't mean to come off as rude or in a hurry, he just simply wasn't feeling the vibe this kid was giving him. Then he heard the cracking noise again. Where was it coming from? Kiwaro continued to walk out into the street, only to hear a screech of tires as he dove onto the sidewalk, the car veering past the dragon and spraying water onto him.

The now soaked dragon felt his blood boil as the steam came from his nostrils. "I dare you to try and run be over again, freaking psychos!" he sighed as he shook he head and sat down, a little light headed from almost being run down.

[rem sleep]

Thursday straightened himself out, he felt a bit odd following this dragon round... He shook out his fur and huffed a cloud of black smog, eventually catching up to Kiwaro, though he could've been there a LOT faster. He came by just in time to see the car whirl right by, coming only about a foot from unsuspecting Ki's face.

Thursday saw this as an oppourtunity to try and approach him again, Thurs had never really specialized in making friends... He hoped he wouldn't come across as awkward again, but he smiled faintly and approached with caution.

You alright? He questioned.
